Kirith himself was.. new to the crime scene to say the least. He was relatively lucky, really, to have a family interested in his capabilities as quickly as they were. Getting started in the crime life wasn't too hard thus far- doing some small beat up jobs, stealing some cash, selling some drugs. It was the usual life but one that interested him greatly. Yet if there was one thing he lacked even now- it was friends in this life. He wasn't entirely the most social kinda guy anyways. Moment he turned eighteen, a fresh faced young man, he had turned his life to the streets and a new home. Of course with those new beginnings.. also came the need for valuable friendships. Loyalties and contacts were everything in this line of work, and if he was being completely honest, he wasn't sure where to even start outside of his family. He had made perhaps one or two friends from them.. but surely it would benefit everyone if he looked.. elsewhere? Wouldn't it? Perhaps though, it was just in his own blood to go out seeking trouble. Perhaps with that last thought was all the universe needed to send trouble his way. After all, who better to spot a criminal than a criminal? It was only a matter of time before the long haired raventte ran into somebody as he walked the streets like a lost a puppy. Whether that encounter turns sour or is the start to a beautiful friendship- that is the question. |

Delicate hated the morgue. It was cold, it was eerie and the audience was dead. Her only saving grace was Danny the Undertaker, but he was a bit...to chill for her liking and didn't really even respond to her jokes. He was probably one of those vampires. Thankfully it seemed Delicate wasn't his type as he had never made a move on her or tried to suck her blood. So....do you have the list or not? Delicate prodded at Danny the Undertaker as he was bent over a stack of papers. She had been sent by her boss, Zapata, to collect the recently buried list so they'd be able to grave rob easily. At first, she had rolled her eyes at the task that Sao- had passed onto her. How dare they! She was of the esteemed rank of Wise Guy! She obviously had better things to do. Then she quickly remembered she was only an Earner. Ranking was hard in the criminal world. Danny! She shouted the man awake. The Undertaker looked like a fresh chap, but moved like an old old old turtle. Maybe not a vampire. Maybe a guy that just spent too much time with dead guys. The shout of his name barely shook him. He muttered something under his breath and handed her a torn sheet of paper. Delicate looked at it and sighed. This isn't even....this is torn up rubbish. I pay you well for this information, don't I? Her question was more of a demand than a question. She slipped a hand into her pocket and felt the steel of her folded razor blade. Delicate thought about....bloody things. Danny was really pushing her patience today and worse thing, she'd have to come back next week and the week after that to do the same thing. Wouldn't it just be easier to...end it all now? End the Undertaker. She sighed and released the grip she had come to have on the blade. Delicate released the tension in her body and slumped her shoulders. Not today. He'd live for another day. She grabbed the torn paper with half the names she was expecting and left the morgue. Have a great day, sweetie! Delicate said sarcastically. Waving a hand in the air as she walked out. Tata! As soon as she was back on the street she slid up on a wall and pulled her cigarettes from her bag. What a fucking useless piece of life. Gah! Delicate pulled a smoke from the case and put it between her lips. She dug around in her other pocket for a match. When she looked back up she noticed a dark-haired man near her. He looked like a lost puppy. She offered him a smoke. Want one? |

His own mind wandered back to his memories as he walked- Meeting Jaxson out on the streets.. doing his own work for Clarkson. Receiving the letter that formally invited him to the family that was watching his every move. It was intimidating in some ways- but he had managed this far despite being new to this life. He was only a goomba, and the pistol he kept hidden on his person only felt heavy. Even going to the shooting range he felt uncomfortable with the thing. He was only.. mediocre right now at best. He much rather preferred the thieving jobs his family thrusted into his hands. He was practically made for that sort of thing- though many of his group could argue that with hair at his length he could make for quite the 'femme fatale'. While he knew they were joking, and his rather flat-chest and deep voice would give him away, it was still something to.. consider in the future. He supposed anyways. Though without any current orders... that is why he found himself wandering as he had. Of course it would be easy to go con somebody- or to just steal purses in hopes of some quick cash. That though, after a while, can get rather boring. It would also likely be better if he kept his head down. At least for now. |

Half a second after the man who identified himself as Kirith asked, Delicate slid a match through the folded in half match book. The flame sparked to life and she brought it to her cigarette. She smirked and took a drag, engulfing the end of the smoke in a contained blaze of glory. She let a few minutes of silence pass between them. It wasn't that Delicate didn't want to introduce herself. She had opened that door by offering him a smoke. More that she needed to take a moment and chill herself before she walked back into that back alley and beat Danny over the head with whatever hard material she could find. Finally, to what probably felt like a century to her temporary smoking buddy she tilted her head just so slightly, a twinkle in her eye. You can call me Delicate. A devilish smile moved across her lips. An idea may or may not have been working through her pretty little head. What brings you to this side of the city? Sure, sure, she could have started out with some small talk. Like, how about this weather? Or, insert some baseball team she never cared about. How horrendously boring. Business or pleasure? |
