Since Obama taking office I've noticed some things that sadden me as far as prices and avalability of weapons.

We all know he is a so called "Gun Control" Advocate.

And has made several attempts at infringements of the 2nd Amendment

I was at walmart just the other day. I've recently moved to a new area and as I passed the sports dept. I couldn't help but stop and look at the gun rack and was shocked to find the prices of a .22 semi auto LR plinkster at around $215... I've never seen a .22 of that sort priced near that high, and would never pay more that $125... Though it is a more densely pop. area in southern Florida, and I figured with the potential for dangerous crime is higher, prices would raise a little, but is $200 for a .22 too much?

I also own a 9mm Ruger and ammo on those is also especially high.

I can't afford to target shoot as much as I used to.

Wondering if this sort of thing has hit home in other parts of the country...

I went out today and bought a dozen eggs. The prices were much higher than I expected. Surely the politicians are to blame.  The governor of my state is anti-chicken, so there must be some connection.

LOL Well, I assume your either in Obama's defense or just have a sense humor. But if you look up how he voted on several Gun Ban Bills he did contribute to the passing of several. He did vote to have all ammunition have a federal stamp on the casing and that all ammo that was made prior to the passing of this law had to be taken off the shelves of stores selling it and destroyed. So when they basically threw away the money they spent the raised prices to compensate...

That is why criminals invented the black market. You are probably republican, and thanks to G W Bush I now despise, but I strongly support our american rights to be able to have something to shoot the fuck out of whoever broke into our house.

I'd support a gun ban, but I'm not American. So I don't care if you shoot each other or not. I'm glad they're illegal here in Britain, though. I wouldn't [i]want[/i] the right to bear arms. But I [i]would[/i] want the right to [i]bear[/i] arms. That'd be cool. Rawr!

I dont know about America but in Ireland the cost of guns has dopped. Still though a .22 was always around 200 euro. I know its a different countr but still good to know.

Obama should ban guns. America chooses to ignore Geneva and most Humanitarian policies but goes up in flames when a little amendment is "infringed".

Increasing the price of the killing machines is not against your rights.

Investment, be quiet, they should LOWER the price of guns so we honest american citizens can protect ourselves from the rabble that obtain firearms through the cheaper illegal markets.

If you aren't living in America why are you commenting? The question involves people from America. Basically, your replies will be count as invalid. But yes Remington; I have seen the gun prices go up. Its a damn shame here in Taiwan that you can't buy a decent rifle much less a mine that will work half the time.

Gun prices seem the same, I bought a Remington Viper .22 LR some years back around $180+. Just bought a Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf for $1200. Ammo on the other hand for the .50 drains me at $40 a box (25rds). Republican all the way, its all we know in the south :)

Guns dont kill people, morons with guns kill people. Forgot to add that. I had my cousin and uncle both murdered by the same gun in January, but I will not change my point of view just because of some low life.
