| Money goes to killer | Started by: GeorgePatton on Jun 25, '20 14:52 |

What is your idea? When a player is killed, a portion/all of his money on hand goes to the killer. This represents "stripping" the dead, something most Mobsters wouldn't hesitate to do in my opinion. |

I would want to see this limited to the mind of numgers you get from graverobbing, else the economic balance from death would be diluted, which causes issues. |

| This won't happen. One of the ways to balance out the economy around here is having people die with their money. | |

Don't think this has anything to do with balancing the economy. I'd imagine it's safe to assume that the overwhelming majority of players keep their money stored away as credits.
What's losing a few mill in a death and the killer reaping the reward going to really do to the economy? Nothing.
+1. |

If it were a matter of a few million it wouldn't be a big deal. However, MANY players have died with 100 mill+. People do keep money in the bank to pay off hits, pay for BGs for their members and hands, etc... You're kidding yourself if you think players invest everything into credits. Death is a great way to flush money out of the game. Have you seen the total in-game cash drop after a war or a big target's removal? You may want to pay attention next time a city is leveled. Big -1 for this one. We need money to be removed from the game once in a while. |

Gonna be a -1 from me as I think Jeden summed it up perfectly. |

You would also make Grave Robbing redundant. -1 |

The game is built on checks and balances. If this was implemented, then Squishy would need to look at other ways to remove the additional cash floating around from other areas. So I appreciate the reasoning given for the idea, but overall it would be a redundant change if it then meant the money "won" is costing you in another way. |

From a realism perspective it just doesn't work. Stopping to rob a victim that you just killed would not be a sensible use of time when trying to evade the law or retribution from a rival family, nor does it seem to be the actions of a man of honour. -1 from me I'm afraid. |

If I'm not wrong the OP says all/some of the money "on hand" which should mean the amount that the person has in his pockets, not bank? If that's the case then I agree. Like PP and GR, we could get some money out of the person depending on how much they had in hand. I believe most post keep a few millions on hand at most and the rest is stored in banks, so I don't see it as too big of a problem. Just some reward on killing. The amount of money can be limited like PP and GR. |

I would suggest that if people really wanted this added in then there would have to be a downside. Something like after you shoot you get a popup, would you like to rifle through your victims pockets? If you click yes you get a percentage of the money on hand, and an extra Witness Statement goes out because you are spending additional time with your victim. |

Jumping off of the last posters thought process: While you are searching the body, it adds a minute to your flight/travel timer so you have to 'stay put' while you search. Every time you search you recover a % of the money they have on hand. Everytime you search the body, it sends another witness statement out. Every time you search the body there is a 'last ditch effort' by the dying target to do one desperate last attempt at killing you with his last dying breath. So if you do search the body, more people know you killed them, the target gets a chance to strike back. You can control your risk and exposure depending on using the feature and how thorough you want to search them to get every last bit. |

this will encourage more random killings especially when people have money out. This would effect keeping cash balanced here. Bad idea -1 |
