Me When The Started by: Chicot on Jun 28, '20 20:03

The reasoning behind the attacks is not something that I feel even needs to be hidden as there was no ulterior motive or any confusing attempt at a power play gone wrong, it was simply three men in a last ditch attempt to remove some of the men that would ultimately lead to their removals.

It was a warm summers night when Vulcan, Ghus, and Sisyphus were all having a heated debate at Aeugh's private estate tucked away in the idyllic hillsides of the Poconos. Was it normal to piss nine times per day or was that considered abnormal? The shouting match was quickly silenced when Sisyphus had received news of Evening's passing. This was the second time now in their lifetime that one of the daughters of the family line that was protecting them had passed away.

A new discussion was formed and the piss debate was shelved for the time being as it was almost universally decided within that very moment that Nipper would have to die. This was not born out of hatred for the man, at least not on Sisyphus' end, although he could not speak for the others in the conversation; it was simply understood that Nipper has large visions for the world every time one of his lineage steps foot on these shores-- the type that would see us die before Vulcan could reach Godfather.

You see, the cause of worry was two-fold. Firstly, their guns were large, so large in fact that Sisyphus alone could hit anyone alive with his while holding the rank of Don. Secondly, their bodyguards were small in stature and power; nearly anyone on the opposing side with even a modicum of prowess in the arts of shooting could remove Ghus, Vulcan and Sisyphus. Less than 300 bodyguards was the total count between the three.

This meant that they were sure to be dead soon. Would it be tonight after the fighting had cleared up, or in a few weeks once they felt safe? None of the men could say, and so the worst case scenario was taken as the most likely to happen. Throw in the fact that Grin's group wanted the death of a few of Vulcan's members, it felt obvious that a complete decimation of the family would become most likely.

There were only two things that made my father even pause at the thought of shooting-- Evening, for one. She had stood up for the men and had been keeping them alive on her say alone. This was something that all three respected, but at the same time it was just another thing that showed off how broken some of this regimes policies are.

For had Sisyphus stayed in the city of Detroit, his home city where he had started his criminal enterprise, he would have surely been shot before even reaching the age required to have the power to remove Nipper. Yet because he would have been playing with those who were friends of Nipper, this shot would have never come as it wouldn't have been asked of him to take it.

The second was that Sisyphus had to take in the members of Eve's formal crew. Sisyphus knew that with this move he would be releasing the hounds on a lot of men and women who had done nothing wrong and didn't even ask to be part of his following. In the end though, in this life, every move that you make will have negative consequences. The plan would move forward.

Nipper, Fidd, Zapata. All three were part of the group that would kill Vulcan, Ghus, and Sisyphus and so all three were killed before they could make the move. It's as simple as that. Nothing exciting or scandalous.

Q: Why not West?

A: I'm not even sure that my father could have hit him. Also, West will eventually die to this group, it is more of a question of when instead of if. Understandably he does not like hearing this, no one would want to be drummed over the head with what they believe is paranoia and he most likely hears about it every single day by someone different. It is just the state of things and going to happen once they are ready. We saw him more as an unwilling ally than an enemy and so his city was left untouched.

Q: Why not Grin?

A: He's young. Killing him would have been useless. Killing his loyal guns became the priority.

Q: Is it weird to piss nine times per day?

A: Yes.

These are all lies. The real reason we did it was cause it'd be neat.

And neat it was.

The end.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

Yeah, I know. I just did this for the tips.

Chicot - this conversation is taking place slightly down the street, could you take it where it's meant to be?
Report Post Tip

No. It's now here.

Report Post Tips: 3 / Total: $60,000 Tip

From what I've gathered - someone showed their fangs, so you showed them the axe. This is a perfectly normal situation in our world. I wish none of this transpired, but our world is not one filled with sunshine and rainbows. To become a Godfather, you must kill the previous one.

Now, how does one go about doing that? Take a guess. Staying low. Gaining trust. And then? Betrayal.

Report Post Tip

I find the whole situation kind of sad, honestly. When Evening died, I immediately tried to find a solution that kept the people she wanted alive, whilst those same individuals immediately found one that killed everything she fought so hard to defend. Seems like we found out who had her interests at heart and who was only concerned with their own. It was also very fucking lame of you to get your whole crew put in the ground as well just so you could kill guns loyal to me; a very admirable display of leadership. They also deserved more and got dick-all.

Report Post Tips: 7 / Total: $140,000 Tip

We would have felt better about finding said solution if we weren't constantly told by Eve that some of our people were greatly disliked by your people and wanted to see them dead.

Also don't swear. This is a Christian chat.

Report Post Tip

Marley, please. They didn't even try to find anything like a solution. The exact phrase I heard was "universally decided within that very moment". No other thought at all then, actually, just kill Nipper right away. Not even a second to consider if they could keep their members alive; na, fuck those people, they don't matter, gotta shoot Nipper. And Evening, she only spent her life and staked a good chunk of her reputation on assuring her allies exactly what these poeple did would not happen, because they wouldn't do that to her. A pause for her then, surely? Maybe stop to think what the person they owed their existence to might have wanted? Nope. Nipper must go, this very moment.

So instead of taking 5 minutes to think of either their family members or their fallen Don, shot by an infatuated idiot unable to comprehend the honour he was mistakenly given, they made the priority killing guns loyal to me. What a skewed view from people who definitely should have known better. Except Ghus, he was even too much of a coward to join Cogburn when she asked out of fear for his safety. he only came to Evening's side when standing there became safe. Some friend.

Throw in the fact that Grin's group wanted the death of a few of Vulcan's members, it felt obvious that a complete decimation of the family would become most likely.

The concessions made by leaders outside of the faction are appalling. Glad to hear someone took a stand.

Report Post Tip

All paranoia to be honest. If you were wanted dead, you would have been. It's another Koyuki situation. People can't seem to comprehend the idea that actually for once, this is quite a peaceful group of leaders. My father was a part of that group of leaders and I can honestly say that it is different to other times I have lead.

It was the same with NY, no plans there either. I mean look at the overall picture, there's currently 128 people over 50 days old right now, which is quite a large portion of the working individuals within our criminal enterprises. That wouldn't be the case if past regimes were running the show right now, we're not taking into account people who would have been alive prior to this war and the NY one either.

The funny part is, if these leaders start taking a tougher line, people will start coming out here bitching about it, just remember though that if that does happen, it's as a result of idiots like yourselves getting paranoid when you had no real reason to be. All you've really done is shit over Evening and her word that vouched for you.

To summarise, you just shafted a load of people including yourselves, due to your own paranoia.

Alas, it is what it is and we are where we are and a part of me understands your reasons but they were unfounded and made up.

Grin-08

Why would you say this like self-preservation is a bad thing? Of course their lives mattered to them individually more than that of their then sadly deceased Godfather Chairman. While she was alive they all three followed everything by the book, and when she died it seemed as though there was no more self-preservation to be done. It was kill-and-be-killed or lay down and forfeit their lives for a few extra (maybe) days or weeks of survival, the only people here who died needless deaths are the ones who joined Sisyphus not knowing that he would make this move only a few hours later as most of them were going to end up leaving and were not loyal to him.

However their deaths could have been altogether avoided by your people not shooting them in the first place. Everyone else, especially those in Vulcan's family, were going to die once Vulcan was removed. They knew the risks that every man and woman takes when entering this thing of ours and they all died with honor. Yet I of course still mourn them all, but I do not believe for one second any of their deaths were needless or avoidable.

I am also sure a lot of them are completely fine with how everything went given that they did not die an actual needless death where we were all removed and every attacker suffered no consequence for their actions.

Also, this argument of "Evening's reputation was more important than all of your lives." is ludicrous. Surely you can understand that anyone outside of your bubble is going to see this as silly. Just as equally silly as you pretending there was not careful consideration into this move, there was talk for hours after understanding that Nipper must die-- but no one is going to come to the agreement that their lives are not as important as someone who is now dead. No matter how much they mull over it.

Trying to frame the argument this way is such a Grin move. You were cooler when you were writing dissertations about why Wolverine is a bad guy.

Report Post Tips: 5 / Total: $375,000 Tip

You speak of skewed views on our end but then come out here and say all of that.

You instead insult rather than argue the valid points made. For someone that thinks so highly of themselves that's quite pathetic.

You can't even answer what happens when me the when.

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

No plans either.

How can someone be so confident in their speech yet so wrong?

Fascinating. I guess you could get around it by saying there was no hard plan in place but NY was going to die. That is for certain.

Report Post Tip

I can't argue with someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. As I said, we are where we are, some people died, nevermind. Time to move on. Sadly, I fear the word of the lines involved will be tainted for some time.

Report Post Tip

Tainted in the eyes of you and your friends? Oh no. Can't purge what ain't there.

Also, stop flattering yourself. You only died because we couldn't find Latom.

Report Post Tips: 2 / Total: $40,000 Tip

Self-preservation at the expense of your family is a criminal lack of leadership and they should have tried to avoid that at all costs. Did the members you mourn even know they were getting sold down the river during the meeting of the minds that both immediately made this decision and also discussed something they had already decided for hours? Sounds to me like they were at best an after thought and most likely barely a consideration at all. But no, you're right, it was so carefully considered you couldn't even find Latom like you intended. Great plan, lads.

And, my argument is not that Evening's reputation was more important than their lives because that is predicated on the false assumption that their lives were forfeit. My argument is instead that they didn't make any attempt to think of anyone except themselves, i.e. the three men who simply wanted to get a shot off with the goal of "killing [my] loyal guns". Is that not the case? If so, please enlighten me what I'm missing here. What salient points have I failed to address? It seems a very cut and dried case of "fuck my members, I'm going to use this gun before I die" and the justification is, "ah well, they would have died anyway". If you think I sound silly, that's the most preposterous notion of leadership I've ever heard. You shouldn't mourn those members, you should be giving their kin a huge apology.

Report Post Tips: 3 / Total: $60,000 Tip

Didn't even answer when the me.

Bad faith argument. Shame.

Report Post Tip

Can't purge what ain't there? Your line leaving us, Marley? Run along then. Take your band of nobodies along with you. Actually scratch that, at least I've heard of Revan, not sure either of the other two nobodies have done anything worth of note until now though. Except probably taking a good bulleting a few times from me and "my friends".

We made you lads relevant, until now you were nobodies. So scurry on, or stick around and have some fun ya little toe rags. You know we do this better than anyone else, it's why you came for myself and Nipper first. Stop kidding yourself.

P.S - I don't purge, that is a derogatory term and I am very much against it, you swine.
