I was dropped off at a street corner by my lovely new chauffeur Francois, in the middle of Manhattan, New York. A meeting had been arranged for me to meet a new business associate. It was raining outside and slightly windy. As I waited at the corner, I took out my umbrella to give myself and my brand new suit some shelter from the rain. I look to the side of me, and I see another gentleman dressed sharply with no umbrella. Poor guy, I thought to myself. A suit like that doesn’t belong in the rain.

Five minutes passed and the two of us were still on the same corner, occasionally glancing at each other. At this point, I was thinking about if my meeting with the new business associate was going to happen. But what was this guy doing at the corner of the street? I turned to speak to him.

“Excuse me, sir, are you my 6 o’clock meeting?

Gesturing me to follow him, we walked down and across the street to a little hole in the wall. He knocked on the door three short times and was greeted by a beautiful woman in a short black dress. We both walked in and went to the back of the room and sat in the quiet corner.

I looked at him for a short moment and got right down to business. 

"I am new here and it seems we are working for the same man. I'm certain we'll be working with each other quite often, which I assume is why this meeting was arranged."

The beautiful woman who had greeted us at the front came up to the table and asked if we wanted anything to drink. Although I very much wanted a glass of Merlot, I didn't want to see like a bitch in front of my new associate.

"A Grand Marnier on the rocks for myself, and this is on me, so I'll cover whatever my colleague here would like to have."

he orders a glass of ice with jack daniel's he turns to his new associate.  I assume we be working quite a bit together  " he waits for the drinks to come " yes we do work for the same man " he see the woman bring both of there drinks he thanks her as he slowly sips on his drink " let us continue our  business

I grabbed my glass of Grand Marnier, which was just brought to me by the beautiful woman, and took a nice sip. That was the good stuff. I placed my glass down on the wooden table, shame there was no coasters. I toyed with the glass for a short moment before I brought my attention back to my new associate. We stared at each other with serious faces before he let out a smirk. It made the moment more comforting. 

"My name is Kevin, I got into town today after countless hours of traveling. Where I come from, I kind of have a reputation for being a hardass. I appreciate good people with a good work ethic, and the ability to apply logical thinking. It may be hard to work with me, it may not. It all depends on how well we work together. I also like someone who doesn't yap my ear off. God, I really can't stand those low-level twits who just go on and on and never learn when to can it. You seem to be quiet, and not a man of many words, I believe we'll get along well. Is there anything I should know about you before head off?"

my name is Midnight i am a man of few words but i am a hard worker " he finishes his drink as he sits back in his sit " i do what be done done i tend to listen more then i talk 

I took my last sip and stood up. I reached into my wallet to pay for the drinks. I only had two fifty dollar bills on me, but I was sure that would change very soon. I put one on the table, stood up, and stuck my hand out.

"Well, Mr.Midnight, I like your attitude, and I feel like we'll get along just fine. I'm glad this meeting was arranged for us to become acquainted with each other. If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to call in a favor from me. But I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of one another anyways."

And with that being all said and done, I put on my serious face, turned and winked at the beautiful woman in the oh so fine black dress and exited the little hole in the wall.
