A calm night for business | Started by: ThomasJefferson on Apr 10, '11 08:42 |
The night was nice as Thomas stepped out from the back door of a local bar. He could feel the cool breeze on his face as he took in a long breath of the fresh air. He smiled as he looked up at the stars and thanked god for having such great luck. If one were to look at him from the outside in, one would think Thomas was born into a life of luxury and that he never once had to work for any of his many fortunes. This was not the case though as Thomas started off an orphan with nothing more than a couple of bucks in his pocket and a spare set of dirty clothes. It was only through his luck that a man took him under his watchful eye and gave him a real shot at the good life. He thought for a moment of Drexler, the man he looked to as a role model and it brought a smile to his face. It was because of that man and his mercy that Thomas now had everything he could want.
After all, if it wasn’t for him, Thomas would not have had any money to have bought into the poker game he just left with some friends and associates. He grinned once more and looked down at the brief case in his right hand and thought for certain some of these winnings should go into the pockets of the man that has made this all possible for him. He then put the case in the trunk of his car, took a seat in the driver’s seat and put those thoughts to side as he had more pressing matters to attend to. He was scheduled to meet with some friends and did not want to keep them waiting. He knew that if he was late this deal might not go his way and that would cost him millions.
He ran through what he needed to say over and over while driving toward the warehouse. He knew exactly what price to start at and where he would end up settling the deal. This was not his first time making a deal and he was certain it would not be his last. He trusted the people he was dealing with just as they trusted Thomas’ weapons would fire true each time the trigger was pulled. He looked once more at his watch and pulled into the driveway of the warehouse. He was early. He got out of his car and began to walk towards the front door. He heard the other car door open and Thomas turned to wave, in order to let his bodyguard know that everything was fine and that he was better off staying with the car. He then turned his attention backed to the main door and took a few steps in.
The building was cold and dark as Thomas tried to allow his eyes to adjust. He squinted to try and spot anything that looked like the figure of someone standing around. His eyes finally sharpened and he noticed a slender outline of someone standing off in the shadows on the other side of the building near some large crates. He couldn’t make out who it could be so he decided to step out into the open and give a large wave of his hand. He then spoke loudly and clearly.
“Good evening, no need to be so dark and mysterious. C’mon over and let’s have a chat!” |

A man, stepped out of the shadows , dressed with one of the most desired suit to have, the R. Jewels Diamond Edition, with 480 single cut diamonds, 0.5 carats each, studding the Cashmere wool and silk blend that makes up the rest of the suit. There is only 3 of this which exists in the world, each took over 600man hours . It costs near to a million US dollars for one. Behind him were 5men in suits very well built standing . Bag greeted TJ.
" Good evening. Well, to cut it short, let's get down to business. But before that, if you have any weapons with you, I would like you to put it on the ground behind you."
TJ being a little hesitant at first, decided he would not want to stir up some trouble and jeaopardize his deal, so he took out a couple of pistols, and gently placed them onto the ground behind him.
" Good thank you. Guards..."
Bag ordered his bodygave a signal to his bodyguards asking the bodyguards to give them a little privacy and move back a few feet.
" So now, let's get it done" |

Katana slowly pulled into the driveway of the warehouse and looked oddly at the two cars that sat there. It wasn't like Thomas to have anyone with him during their deals and she immediately reached under the seat of her car and pulled her gun out. Normally she could trust her old friend, and her trust hadn't really waivered as she quietly stepped from the car and barely shut the door, but she knew that something was off. |

Thomas let out a sigh of relief as he saw his friend enter the building with guns blazing. He wasn't sure what would compel a young mafioso to try and wok his way into a deal between well known associates. As if they wouldn't notice that the person in front of them would not realise that it wasn't their right contact. He sighed and brush the thought to side thankful that his friend had come and everything could now resume as planned. Thomas bent down and picked up his handgun that the previous person had asked him to drop. He smiled and lifted the bottom of it to show her it was empty as it usually is when Thomas goes to meet trusted friends. He put the gun back into his jacket and spoke.
"I honestly was disappointed when I walked in here to find that guy sitting there instead of your pretty face. I was beginning to think you had appointed an apprentice to do your work for you. However, I'm glad you did show after all."
He thought for a moment on how the previous man had started the deal off with a show of force and had made Thomas, an obviously higher standing businessman, un-arm himself. It was far to brazen than anything he would expect from his friend or anyone she might have sent on her behalf. He knew certainly off the bat that something was not right from the start, but it wasn't like him to show his true thoughts in these situations, but instead to wear a mask of indifference to a situation. His attention turned back to the matter at hand as he looked her back in the eye.
"So now that things are back on track and you're here we can get down to business. Now as you know it wouldn't be very wise for me to have the merchandise here waiting so I can have it here with a signal to my men, but first I believe we have to come to some agreement on the price. I have ready for you a truck with ten crates of brand new tommy guns with another 12 crates of ammunition. I was thinking around about half a mil would be fair for the both of us. What are your thoughts?"

Katana pulled the chair out from in front of the table and casually placed her gun on the table. Leaning back a bit she propped her feet up on the table after slipping her heels off hearing them hit the floor. She thought for a second about the price of the guns and scratched her head for a moment. |

Thomas was glad to see the mood of the evening drop to a much more casual one. He took a few steps closer to the table and took a seat across from her. He looked down at her high heals laying on the floor and than looked back into her eyes. He grinned and kicked off his Bostonians letting them fly off and also propped his feet up onto the table. He than reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out his pistol again and sat it on the table.
"Oh well you know me, I'm not much for the violence. I'd much prefer to talk my way out of any situation. Had you not shown up I'm pretty sure I would have made off just fine selling that man a load of older weapons for a very healthy profit just as easy as you handled it with your bullets."
He shrugged and laughed a bit before taking in a nice long breath of Katana's smoke. He loved the scent of tobacco far more than he enjoyed the act of smoking. He looked up at one of the windows and could still see the clear night sky and the stars shinning brightly. He couldn't resist grinning at hearing her ask about the weather. It was nice every now and again to just put business aside and talk like regular people from time to time. Just being one's self without a care of what tomorrow held. That had to be one of the reasons Thomas held Katana in his mind as such a great friend.
"It's been great out all day. Spent most of the day in the park reading the paper and enjoying a nice cup of coffee watching the younger kids playing around. The night was also just as well, as I just enjoyed a night of poker before this meeting and have to say.. I made of pretty well. So tell me old friend, how hard would have been to just walk on in here and great that man with a smile and a warm hello instead of a gun to the face?"
He asked teasing back knowing full well how much pride she took in her solid mean reputation she had built over a long and successful career. |

A laugh escaped Katana's lips as she listened to his question and she slid her feet off the table and then leaned on the table with her elbows. |

"Pretty? Oh well I did just recently get a haircut and fresh shave. I'm glad someone around here seems to notice these things."
He said this knowing full well she was speaking of the stars outside. As the keys fell into his lap he grabbed them, flashed Katana a little wink as to suggest her aim was never truly off. He than reached into his jacket and pulled out a small flash light and aimed it up to one of the windows. He than flahsed it up 6 times and put the flashlight back into his jacket. He looked back to Katana with a grin.
"There's no reason we shouldn't play poker together. There's no need to be afraid. It's all just a matter of luck. It's anyone's game as they say."
He laughed knowing that she wouldn't be buying into his crap. All of a sudden a large cargo truck drove in through one of the warehouse loading ramps as he had intended them to on his signal of 6 flashes. He lifted a hand in the direction of the truck and began to speak.
"These men are my drivers and they've got everything you need in the back sealed up in crates. If you want to walk over to the driver and give him an adress he will go ahead and drive there himself and unload your new weapons and ammo for you. We wouldn't want you to break a nail hastling around with such work."
He let out a laugh knowing that a comment like that would earn him a healthy slap on the cheeck. |

She casually got up and walked over to the driver and handed him a piece of paper with an address typed out on it. "Make sure it is that exact place please!" She knew her handwriting was horrible so she had typed it out earlier in the day. She heard the large truck pull out and she turned back to Thomas and smiled. |

"Poker with you sounds like a rather fun endeavour. I'm certain I will be able to find the time tonight to play. I'll head right over and take care of that money, but I'll be right back so don't you go off and disappear on me!"
He laughed and walked off with the keys swinging around on his pointer finger. He made his way out the door that he saw her come in through, spotted her car and got the case he was used to picking up. He didn't check inside, but the weight was right so that was all he needed. He walked back to his car and placed the case in the trunk next to his case of poker winnings and locked his trunk back up. He gave a nod to his bodyguard and flashed a smile as he could see that the bodyguard was nervous having heard gunshots earlier. Thomas was glad that his an was trained well enough to follow orders and stay with the car as instructed. He made his way back into the warehouse hoping to see Katana sitting there waiting for him. He took a few steps and rubbed his eyes trying to let them adjust to the light again. |

Shadows danced across the fabric of the white table cloth as the candles flickered. Nuked dragged her fork through the salad in front of her. She was hardly hungry, but had agreed to go out anyway. The senator across from her was going on and on about some new bill the democrats were trying to push through. Nuked smiled at him as he took a bite of the salmon he had ordered. |

Thomas' eyes slowly adjusted to the lights and as he looked to the place he expected to see Katana he had to double take as he saw Nuked standing next to her in a stunning dress. Where his expected Katana to perhaps still be there or perhaps had wondered off, he found two pretty ladies. A grin came across his face as he approached the two women. He couldn't help but to wonder why on earth Nuked was here, or how on earth she had heard of the dealings. It was unsettling that two people that should not have had any knowledge of him being there tonight turned out to know exactly when he would be. He knew that there was some leak checking to do later, but that wasn't going to ruin the spirit of things tonight. He waved and flashed a wink to them before speaking.
"Hey there Katana, I didn't expect to see you here with a friend. What's the special occasion?"
He turned to Nuked than.
"What a pretty dress miss, but i'm a bit confused at to why such a sharp dressed lady would feel the need to carry a screwdriver around with her.."
He gave a quick glance down to the tool in her hand.

Nuked jabbed the screw driver into the air towards Tommy. She then looked at Katana and then again at Tommy. |
