A man rides his horse to a crowd and pulls out a paper and begins to speak Dream A dream is as graceful as a gazelle As strong as a lion Faster than a cheetah Yet as fragile as glass It is an inspiration or goal that drives mankind It is what divides us from animals It is a hunger for more than what we have And the force behind what we do The dream is made of notmaterial but of ideas It could be from becoming a lawyer to becoming a president It has wings and makes us fly to new heights It runs with us guiding and helping us pursue it If caught it will fill you with joy and glee If ever caught then a new dream will emerge It is as if a beutiful dove has landed in your hands There is nothing as beutiful or exciting as a dream Empty A man with no dream is an empty shell A rock that erodes away over time There is no light in his eyes There is just regret and despair His mind and soul is hollow He is nothing but a walking corpse His face is as cold as the ice And as fierce as the fire What he has is a plague that slowly tears away at him Every day he is in pain and agony Not from a physical force but from regret His heart is empty from the anger The man is not alive but dead from emotional grief From that one dream unrealized His mind is a whirling wind of tireless thoughts of what ifs This man has had an inspirational goal taken from the depths of his soul He is now nothing but empty He gets done reading the poems aloud Now all of us here should have dreams and if you don't you should go find one to help furhter yourself and the others around you. My dream is to have the Business District flourishing again. Now I ask you, what is your dream? (Note: I wrote these poems) |

Those poems are very well written. Its good to see something new like this in the streets from time to time instead of just debates and arguments. As far as the question you present, my dream is to leave this thing of ours better than when I joined it. Obviously, an open-ended statement but hopefully in some way I can make things around here better than before. I believe that everyone here has a goal along those lines or everyone that actually cares about the status of this world at least. | |

I agree it is nice to see something other that agruments and debates around here...and your poems are pretty damn good my friend. My dream is to get some action in these streets. it has been so boring in these streets lately....something needs to be done with it. |

Mr Torres, you clearly have a gift. It's good to see that you have a dream and I thank you for sharing it but I thank you more for doing something about it. I can't think of a more astute business man than yourself, you have business' in all the major cities, trying to fulfill your dream and for that, I applaud you. You ask at the end what our dreams are? Mine is simple, like my good self ;) I would like to see more humor on the streets and more banter amongst fellow mafioso's. This world we live in has a tendency to lean towards the serious and seems to be an ideal world for arguments and bitter speeches. This, I would like to change :) So once again Mr Torres, I thank you for inspiring me to get off my sofa, which currently is a perfect mold of my rear, and do something about my dream, rather than sit back and moan that others won't do it for me. *Rhuarc walks off with a weight lifted off his shoulders and a pizza menu stuck to his ass* |
