"Much has been said, as it always is, about cliques, purges, how unfair life is.  What I have to say is simple, stark and true.  It used to be said to malcontents "do something - train a gun and do something."  This was of course possible, but something of a tough ask.

Now-a-days, I say to the malcontents, why not:

Work hard

Earn and donate

Get a sufficient level of experience to qualify for getting Made and, then...

Start your own outfit.

Now, not everyone that lives in our world wants to run their own outfit.  But everyone wants to rank and earn.  In other words, everyone wants to get Made.

IT HAS NEVER BEE EASIER TO GET YOUR OWN HQ

So, why aren't people doing it?  

I think its a pretty simple answer; People will sit and moan, they will tell anyone that listens to them that the current regime haven't Change anything. The place is stale. Its crowded by the same lines over and over again. 

But when we pretty much give them free reign to change all of the above, they dont have the proverbial kahooners to do so. Why? Because its far easier and much less effort to sit and cry about something, than actually stepping up the plate and try to influence things. 

People actually don't do anything about it because this world is run by a group of rogues that put each other above family.  If people attempted to go about things legitimately they would be surrounded and killed like has been done countless times within the not so distant past.

This an age of exclusion, not inclusion and if you try to do right by the group currently in charge of things they will still take you out eventually because deep at heart they are perpetually afraid of everyone else. 

While I do like and now have more information about the 5 man HQ's

I have to wonder if the "anyone can set up" or the "getting your own crew is easier than its ever been" has taken away from the overwhelming excitement of wondering when the boss is going to call your name. I know the first time my blood got the call; I felt I was the kid that always got picked last for everything, had finally got picked first. I don't know how many else feel that way. It means you got picked, out of everyone else because you were the best choice (or at least top five and the other four didn't want it).

While I agree that the 5 man HQ gives almost anyone the option to get a crew. All the while letting them explore and manifest their ideas as to what they want this world to be. I can't help but think maybe that's the reason some people are less than willing to jump at the opportunity. Other than that I haven't a clue.
