I have no desire to tell anyone that they cannot have a good old verbal joust.. You are indeed correct as to the love of showmanship for both of you, that much is clear. I was simply curious as to the parasitic nature in which Tad was acting.

Let me explain, Gimpanzee. 

Tad isn't... original.  As Leader of the Streets, I make many speeches and involve myself in many conversations.  Tad, well, he hangs around listening to me, then says something.  Without me, he has no Streets presence.

I'm famous and he isn't.  So he's leeching off of my fame to try and get himself noticed.

Tad was confused by how confused Anton continually was during this conversation....

"When did I ever say I don't listen to any of your speeches? I was very clear that I did not listen to THIS particular speech. Just the conversation afterwards where you admitted your main role with the streets was not to lead them, but to attempt 'to make dickheads look ridiculous'. Are you following now? I hope so." He couldn't help but sigh at the lack of comprehension.

"You seem to say that I consistently show up to your speeches, yet also state that I am not consistent....so which is it? Also, our little back and forth started when I made a statement in discussing things with the late General Doug_MacArthur. You were then the one who chose to come come after me verbally via the streets and the letters you chose to send me. You even continued that behavior when Douglas_MacArther started a contest of his own I had to correct you about the meaning of impartial. If you check the facts I've actually interacted with you after only one other speech that you gave. All other interactions have been involving others starting conversations or competitions on the streets."

He struggles to hold the laughter in after Anton's most recent comment, "Trying to get myself noticed? By who? I'm Gimpanzee's right hand. I think I've been noticed enough. I've no care for 'fame' as you apparently are."

"Had you 'sent' me a telegram or were you going to be sending me one? Also, who is TedKnackered? Did I win this entirety of this discussion now that I have pointed out your mistakes while speaking? By your logic it would seem so. Checkmate Anton. Checkmate, son." Tad walked off the clear victor in this battle of wits vs whatever Anton has going on in that brain of his. 

TadKnackered - I'm quite sure you won't "walk off", son.  You admire me too much for that.  

Let's not talk about Douglas_MacArthur.  The poor bastard isn't long dead and his legacy is being disputed.  Leave him well alone.

Well then we will just have to agree to disagree on a certain number of things in that case Anton.  I won't be drawn on the opinion regarding a Leader of the Streets and whether such a person exists.  Perhaps if there was one maybe they'd take it as a compliment that they had someone that challenged (sorry, followed) them.. Or was glad that it allowed them to bring out their shiny gold Dictionary and educate the masses when it comes to vocabulary and grammar!

In any case, this has wildly strayed off the topic at hand and I have no interest into what level of fame or infamy you feel you possess and whether or not there is a leader of these fine streets as it always descends in utter chaos so I will bid you a good day

Thank you, Gimpanzee.  I recall being in a bar that opens at 6am in your locality once.  Perhaps more than once.  And in a few other hostelries too, in the past.

I am, literally, Leader of The Streets though, as well as leading the biggest (by percentage filled) crew in this thing of ours, which is numerically the second biggest in the most important district in one of the most important cities in this thing of ours.
