I got to see Rush before the retired, for which i'm forever grateful to the world. 

I'd have liked to see Tom petty and the Heartbreakers, and Styx with DeYoung on stage. 

I would have loved to have seen Queen, and or Garth brooks. yes all kinds of music is good music, (except Rap)

Nirvana

How dare I you say? 

Many of mornings while I drive my 8 year old to school, does the "classic rock" station find it cruel and unusual punishment to play songs from my youth on the "CLASSICS" station. 

Nirvana isn't the only one, but my old ass forgot the few other popping up on that station 

Oh gosh, so many to choose from. Stones, Led Zeppelin, Heart, were just a few that I was lucky enough to be able to go and see.  I guess I would have liked to see Pat Benetar, Eric Clapton and CCR to name a few.   Too many to choose. 

That era of music was the best, imo. 

I’d say the most likely is CCR.

honourable mention to Metallica and AC DC.

i don’t know where the cutoff is for classic - but Rage Against the Machine must now be in that class. I’d go see them for sure.

I'd have loved to see Pink Floyd or Guns and Roses in their prime. Boston would also have been awesome to see.

damn so many options!! i would love to see few bands to be honest but if was to pick would be aerosmith and Chicago! I still listening a lot them songs yet.

I've been fortunate to have seen quite a few great bands, but two that stick out in my  head that I would love or loved to have seen are 

Pat Benetar and Joan Jett.  

It surprises me how many people mentioned Chicago. They were great, but not really a band I ever thought most people would be nostalgic about. Being an old person who was deep in the music scene in the 80's and 90's, I have been lucky enough to see many of the bands named here.

Had tickets to see Pink Floyd in the early 90's on whatever tour "Learning to Fly" came out. I sold the tickets before the date of the show because I was broke. Big, stupid, dumb me.

Another I would have loved to see but didn't was Tom motherfucking Petty. So underrated.

Those I saw, which many of you would be jealous of:

Metallica (2x - first time on the Ride the Lightning tour before most people had ever heard of them. They played in an old warehouse with no seating)

Aerosmith (2x - first time on the Permanent Vacation tour around 1988)

Wendy O. Williams (1985 - not much needs to be said here, if you know anything about her live performances. I'm scarred for life. RIP, you insane bitch)

Rush (around 1988)

Deep Purple with Bad Company opening (late 80's some time. The tour after the Perfect Strangers tour)

Scorpions (around 1987 - wasn't ever a huge fan, but goddamn they put on a good show)

Neil Young with Crazy Horse  (1987 - his old ass blew the roof off)

Alice Cooper (1986 - this show blew my mind. My car wouldn't start after the concert, so I went to the Radisson across the street from the concert venue to use a pay phone. Alice fucking Cooper walked right past me in the hotel lobby while I was dialing. My jaw about hit the floor)

Judas Priest (2x - 1986 and 1988)

AC/DC (2x - late 80's and early 90's. One show had Queensyrche opening, and they were very good. If you're not familiar, listen to Operation: Mindcrime)

Lollapalooza II tour in 1992 (Featured Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Jesus and Mary Chain, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ice-T, Ministry, Lush, and probably another or others I would kick myself for forgetting)

Pearl Jam again in 2004

White Zombie - 1995ish

Alannis Morrisette (1997 - was an outdoor venue. It rained. Went with my ex, who was, is, and will always be a cunt. Would like to see her again - Alannis, not my ex - under better circumstances)

Smashing Pumpkins - 2x

Bush with Live and Our Lady Peace opening in 2019 - great show despite being well past their prime

A bunch of 80's metal bands that most of you have never heard of and if you have, probably don't care about - W.A.S.P. (was actually VERY good), Krokus, Dokken, Armored Saint, King Kobra, Winger (fuck you, they opened for Alice Cooper), Exodus, Melt Banana, Misfits.

I'm probably forgetting a bunch because I really loved the drugs and alcohol back in the day.

You're right. I am jealous. Damn. Soundgarden especially.

How in the fuck did I forget seeing Black Sabbath on Halloween night, with Dio singing? Oh yeah, drugs.
