In hushed tones, @Anton begins to discuss one of the deadliest feuds to erupt across this thing of ours in recent times...

PART ONE

THE "MARLEAU AUTUMN" - DEADLY DIVISIONS BEGIN

Amidst a flurry of murder, fraud, power grabs, mistrust and shady politicking under the SOVIET STATE regime, one blood feud was born, which has captivated historians and journalists: The Marleau feud.

People refer to the beginning of the feud as the MARLEAU AUTUMN - it was November, and Dominic and VIPCreditsGrin ("Grin") had, against typical organised crime etiquette, begun a legal process to resolve a beef that they had.  Not for them the traditional "sit-down."  Marleau, or PhillipMarleau, to give him his full name, was incensed at this.  He vented his spleen close to the Streets where he could usually be found talking to himself. 

And he was challenged: 

CommissarZverev described Marleau as "a humourless, purist moron"

The late, great Destro said he was "boring"

And a journalist named CoconutRandy was taking it all in.  Watching, scribbling.

The MARLEAU AUTUMN involved these men, and a woman, whom we shall discuss later: Kuku, Destro, Dominic, and, of course, Marleau.

THE "MARLEAU AUTUMN" - THE FIRST FATALITY

It is truly difficult to chronologically order the first salvo of the MARLEAU AUTUMN.  Revolution was NOT in the air.  Mikhail's SOVIET STATE ruled with an iron hand.  Marleau had started to publicly rail against Kuku.   And Destro.  And Grin.  And CoconutRandy.  His slurs are too numerous, and too vague, to list.  But HERE is a pamphlet featuring some of what was said.

Marleau accused Kuku/Destro/Grin of being disrespectful.  Of being dangerous men, intent on skullduggery.  Anyone watching might have expected a Made man, with a capable gun, being disrespected by Marleau like this to have shot him down.  But that didn't happen.

THE SHANNON WHELAN MYSTERY

What actually did happen continues to baffle historians.  As we have discussed, Mikhail's Soviet State were unassailably powerful.  Under Soviet State protection, was a crew consisting of three people.  Shannon_Whelan as CL, Scooter as RHM, and Destro, as a loyal and generous member.  Then Scooter was killed, over some kind of long forgotten dispute, and Destro remained with Shannon - a loyal and generous soldier.

Shannon disbanded the crew and shot herself, leaving a deluded, discredited, vainglorious and accusatory tome levelled against Kuku, Destro and "others" - it can be read HERE and we urge you to ensure you have company.  It is not a pleasant read.

Clearly, Shannon was a unhinged psychotic, and we can only be glad that she shot herself, rather than her loyal solider, Destro.

But someone else did shoot Destro.  Controversy rages over his fate, and historians and contemporaneous journalists debate the details endlessly.  Did Mikhail shoot Destro?  Or did he merely arrange for someone else to shoot him, and to ensure there were no living witnesses willing to testify?  We may never know.  

But what we do know, is that Marleau was not respectful of the dead, describing Destro as a "monster."

PhillipMarleau survived for a few more days, before his constant disrespect earned him a bullet in the head, courtesy of Kuku.  

The "Marleau Autumn" was over.  But a winter of discontent was on its way.

PhilipMarleauJr

Marleau's bloodline are marked out by epic failures, stupid decisions, universal ridicule.  But it didn't have to be that way.  A descendent of PhillipMarleau, PhilipMareauJr, transcended his bloodline's ineptitude and actually made something of himself.  He became a Made member of a reputable family and gained the respect of the most powerful members of society at that time.

But he remains the sole member of this soiled, jaded family.

I am too young, too naive, too innocent of the vile history of this world to have known these men. But if there is one thing I do know it's that CoconutRandy was a journalist; an impartial eye casting light on the strange machinations of this world. I stumbled upon a small archive of water-damaged articles and newspaper cuttings in the basement of a genuine, painstakingly traditional Italian restaurant that I was looking to bid on following a foreclosure. I was shocked by what I read.

LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Mafia, it's me, Coconut Randy. Do I need an introduction? Not to the man who spent hours molesting a life-sized effigy of me outside the Coconut Corp offices last week, that's for sure. While I learned that aggressively humping papier-mache is not considered a crime, firing warning shots at him with your colt buntline while drunk off your God-fearing ass on Campari most certainly is. The days I spent in county lock-up were sobering, if not inspirational, and Coconut Corp is proud to welcome my former cellmate Thick Gus to our custodial staff as a reward for his protection during our time behind bars. It is because of him that my vow of celibacy remains unbroken, until I meet that special someone who will become my 2nd wife. Thank you, Thick Gus. 

Who was this renegade in Tommy Bahama? Who was this man playing with fire so soon after surviving a controversial passive-aggressive takeover attempt from gloom merchant SeanCallan, whose ceaseless whining for primary sources still echoes the decrepit Coconut Corp buildings today?

What I ended up discovering, and the reason this is relevant to your excellent research here Anton, is that as my eyes continued down the page, an article titled "America's Most Wanted" (credited to the tabloid intern, VIPCreditsGrin) stood out to me. This was a list of the most deviant, unhinged outsiders currently running amok in the world. Primeval winds shuttered windows closed at the first footsteps these men took into your towns. Friendly and good-natured dinners at traditional Italian restaurants descended into pure chaos in their presence. And who did I find on this list but Mr. Marleau himself.

#2 - PhillipMarleau

Name: PhillipMarleau

Known Aliases: PhillipMuesli, The Muesli Man, The Taker of Muesli 1-2-3, Ruth

Area of Influence: The Chicago Business District

Wanted for: Assault; vociferous complaining; failing to speak at dinner; nuisance phone calls; lewd behaviour in public

History: Much of Marleau's back story is unknown. He began plying his trade around the Chicago Business District some years previously. First caught attention of local law enforcement over an assault incident pertaining to snacks at a hockey game. Mr Marleau, the controlling interest in an ice rink, had banned all food types except muesli at home games. Alleged instigator of 10 man brawl by having hands so deeply entrenched in his joggers that he refused to give change to customers after reluctantly purchasing said muesli. Fled the scene. Assumed to have been beaten to a pulp.

Since, Marleau has been seen in various avenues complaining vehemently about lack of visitors to the Chicago Business District; his last known haunt. He has a strong aversion to 'mindless bullshit' and has been known to phone strangers asking if they know where "the majority of RPers are residing".

Last seen: Ordering muesli in a fine Italian restaurant for reasons unknown. Remained silent throughout.

Risk level: High; approach with caution. Be prepared for long silences and/or lots of complaining.

PART TWO

The Marleau Autumn - Chicago Stadium

Marleau set himself up in business, the Chicago Stadium (read about it here).  As much much of the Marleau feud history, it is so dense that a team of historians and writers are needed to make sense of it.  This topic shall be returned to.

Suffice to say that many of the same familiar faces duked it out on the Streets over the same issues.  Marleau, Destro, and now the shadowy figure of Jen_Mooney - rumoured to be the latest of the Shannon_Whelan lineage, and every bit as vicious and psychotic. 

And we saw, for the first time, a man named Destro_Whelan.  Of him, hopefully, more later.

DickGrayson

A member of the Marleau bloodline, DickGrayson, was rumoured to be a Don in an organised crime family.  The feuding continued, but one of the Bloodlines, the Kuku lineage, was to be absent for some time.  Marleau, it seems, wanted to capitalise on the fall of the Soviet State, extending the hand of friendship by saying:

”Wouldn’t it be more beneficial to all, if everyone went their separate ways? You guys aren’t going to see eye to on anything. So let’s all smile and nod and be on our way. There’s money to be made out there, let’s go get that instead.”

Marleau, true to form, initiated a theoretical conversation entitled "This Ends here" despite studying is several times, your humble narrator is simply unable to glean anything useful from it.  He chatted away to himself, but, as with many things Marleau, lots of words were used but no useful conclusions arrived at.

Billy_Mastrosimone

No serious history of Marleau can be written without discussing Billy Mastrosimone.  There are many today who cannot even mention Mastrosimone's name without vomiting on the floor.  Mastro was a long-firm fraudster who stole vast quantities of money and then disappeared.  Much like Marleau, he was known for talking to himself on the Streets.  The third part of this TRIUMVIRATE OF EVIL was Dominic, a newspaperman and scumbag who also feuded with Kuku, Destro and Grin.

We are entitled to ask, and to have answered, the following questions:

• Did Marleau know about the scam Mastro was operating?
• Did either of them trust Dominic enough?  Would they be so stupid as to not realise how stupid Stupid Dominic was?
• What is the difference between Marleau and Mastro?
• Did Marleau start his feued with Kuku/Destro/Grin at the behest of Mastro, and, if so, how much was he paid?
• How much of MASTRO'S MISSINNG MILLIONS does the present day Marleau have access to?

I am unsure if we were ever have answers to these questions.  But they should be asked, nay, DEMANDED, anyway. 

That's a nice looking suit you're wearing there, KukuDoesDrugs; it fits perfectly and isn't 17000x too large for you. I assume you had nothing to do with the production of it?

My god! A drug user?! Here?! If I had known that before hand I would have been hanging out with Anton a long time ago.

Thank you KukuDoesDrugs for bringing this to the light. Speaking of a light does anyone have some matches? I have seemed to have lost mine.

It is truly a shame that people feel the need to try and cancel someone over their personal lives and interests.

I hope that KukuDoesDrugs sees his bigoted ways need to change and we will not accept this kind of behavior anymore.
