Just a few minutes ago, over on IRC avenue, Zipline stated that 90% of us in this way of life would be happier if Anton would just go away... or words to that effect. LogenNineFingers stated that he wished we had a poll to ascertain if this 90% figure was true. Sooo, without further ado, and in conjunction with MG-PPR I give you, the Anton Poll...

Polling booths will stay open all weekend, and will close at 12am on Sunday Night/Monday Morning. Get voting people. Should Anton Stay or should he go now... If he stays there will be trouble... if he goes... erm never mind.

I was just having trouble with the figure of 90%. Any idiot can use made up statistics to win or strengthen an argument 85.4% of people know that.... Surely if 90% of the people wanted Anton gone he would be taking a dirt nap? I also just witnessed an act of great charity from Anton giving 10 of those fancy bankers credits to my friend OctopusLegs, so I am in the stay camp.

Ninefingers holds up his right hand (The one with all digits intact) after a few moments he nods to Duggee. "I can confirm after some quick maths that 75% is less than 90%. Duggee runs off to the side somewhere (he always seems to have a stash of badges hidden just out of view) and rushes back, spinning around 3 times he stands on his hind legs and hands LogenNineFingers a badge.

Voting is indeed heating up, and exit polls suggest that we are now looking at a 60/40 split in favour of Anton slinging his hook. Could the Kuku lineage pull one last save out of the bag, and swing this vote for the self proclaimed leader of the streets?

This has got to be the greatest political campaign ever, if all you need to win is hold 11% of the popular vote. What exactly are the stakes here?  We should make it interesting.  If 90% or over want Anton gone, he should make some sort of concession (not leaving, actually, but something). If over 10% want him around, his accuser should make a concession.

Well in fairness Nipples, if Anton were to get just 11%, it would give him almost as big a mandate as I'd Imagine the Conservative Party would have about 80 years from now... But yes, you do bring up an interesting point. I had of course just assumed that bragging rights and knowing that you were right would be sufficient reward, but perhaps we could persuade Anton and Zipline to put something more intrinsic on the line.

I've verbally sparred with Anton for a while.

As much as I rail against much he says. If he didn't say it, he wouldh't juice me up to challenge his assertions.

He's an anomoly as far as i'm concerned, almost a paradox.  

from my point of view, I love to challenge his assertions as the 'leader of the streets'.

but if he weren't around, I wouldn't have anyone to spar with, I'd miss him.

Time is ticking on, and according to the latest exit poll we've seen more swings than 4 blind drunks trying to have a fist fight. Currently with less than 10% of the registered voters having cast their vote 72% want Anton to pack up his troubles in his old kit bag, and fuck right off, compared to just 22% wanting him to stay. However, that is considerably less than the alleged 90% touted by Zipline. However, the surprising statistic to emerge thus far, is that almost 30%, nearly 1/3 of mafioso everywhere believe that Anton is genuinely funny. You mean, let me understand this cause, ya know maybe it's me, I'm a little fucked up maybe, but he's funny how, I mean funny like he's a clown, he amuses you? He makes you laugh, he's here to fuckin' amuse you? What do you mean funny, funny how? How is he funny?

Duggee shakes his head and coughs.

Wow, what a ruckus!! Love it! You can't deny that some of ya'll have enjoyed these speeches and topics huh? I have. As Timothy Chuckles. I have known Anton's linage many years now, his family line has always truly entertained the masses in many different ways like it or not. Has his line stir up the streets during this era? Yea, but don't we need a little bit a fun during all this s-e-r-i-o-u-s-ness, up on the mighty morphing soap box he stands Leader of "The Streets" but truly when is the last time you seen the streets buzz and pop like this, I can only recall times of old. So I say yes we need him here, here to stay.

Thank you for your comments Timothy-McDermott, as I try to maintain an air of impartiality, I would like to point out that Zebedee is also recorded as saying "Anton you have so little class you could be a marxist utopia" just last night on IRC Avenue. So I believe what we are seeing here is that at least some of our Voter's see Anton almost as a paradox, and a necessary evil if you will, causing trouble and intrigue whilst at the same time bringing humour and entertainment to the masses.

Speaking of which, we have out latest Exit Poll results after the first 12 hours of voting. Currently we have had almost three dozen pollster's through our polling station. 68.5% think Anton should slide on out of here, 31.5% want him to stay, and an incredible 37% find him funny. You just couldn't make this stuff up, proper riveting unlike the New York Primaries.

This just in, Cityhall has made us aware of a possible attempt to tamper with the poll and influence the results. We take allegations of poll tampering very seriously, therefore after much negotiation we have transferred our poll taking to a new company with more robust security. I wish to thank Cityhall and Mayor Squishy for bringing this to our attention and their assistance in helping rectify the situation. There'll be a big donation to the Widows and Orphans fund this month I can tell ya.

Don't you think the poll integrity is already somewhat compromised by the fact that there are two options for wanting Anton gone and only one in support of him? Wouldn't the logical thing be to just have one or the other choice? 

Certainly not Cromwell, we are measuring two metrics with this poll, those who want him gone and those who find him funny. Wanting him gone and finding him funny are not mutually exclusive, hence the 3rd option. But having that 3rd option doesn't skew the data, because either you want him gone, or you don't, you can't want him not gone yet gone. However, given that such a small percentage actually find him funny, but still would like to see the back of him, removing them from the data set would have hardly any effect on the overall outcome.
