Joey takes a step forward and begins to address the small gathering before him.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am speaking today about something that has me wondering what has happened to respect? When my ancestors arrived on these shores many years ago, if you didn't want to get pick pocketed, you explained it and no one really did. Joey sighs... Now it seems with current and past regimes, they could care less about it. They say figure it out yourselves. And if you retaliate at all, you catch a bullet. I've seen this especially with people that are of higher. Joey stops for a brief moment to look around and see if anyone is still paying attention and to collect his thoughts.

I was raised to treat someone with the respect you wish to receive in return. When I see someone says they don't want their pockets reached into, I don't do it. In my mind, that's one of the CAs' purpose. I have been in quite a few situations where I was robbed and I confronted the person. They basically said go kick rocks, its only a game. I tried to explain things that its bigger than a game; its more of a principal behind the matter. They still didn't seem to care and issued a duel against me. I politely declined it and for that, I had to pay a sum of money. I still don't understand why that is. Can't we all just respect eachother's wishes? Joey lights a cigarette and disappears into the shadows knowing he will get some flak for this.

Ronnie listened to the man, as he was a pickpocket himself. He heard about the lack of respect and how different it was in a time before. Ronnie took a cigarette from his jacket and lit it letting the man’s final words leave his lips. 

“Well Sir. I myself pick pocket regardless of some words on a suit. Some may find that “disrespectful” some won’t. But the way I see it is we are the Mafia. Organised crime and the likes. Now Nine times out of ten I’ll pay that money back. Me myself I don’t pick pocket to be a cunt nor do I do it to start arguments. I purely do it to start a conversation with said person. Yeah sure I can mail them. But there’s no way better to start a conversation then slapping someone on the arse and shoutings come catch me, as you run away.” 

Ronnie says taking a drag from his cigarette. And looking into the crowd. “Now honestly. Times have surely changed since I was a young mobster, but in my opinion the whole pickpocket thing has been generally the same in my eyes. You pick pocket subject A. Subject a mugs. You cry. And I’m saying you in general here sir so please take no offence. I don’t know you enough to make assumptions. You pick pocket subject B and they don’t mug straight away and you send the money back. Easy days right? I guess it all depends on if the person you Pickpocket is a prick or not.” Ronnie shrugs and continues smoking his cigarette.

I believe, strongly, that if you carry around large sums of cash, you are a valid target for those with light fingers.

Listening to both speak, Joey agrees with both gentlemen's words. To me, its the simple act/behavior whatever you want to call it of respect. I have mugged people before and they do get mad. I even tell them I was not friendly towards the act, and ask why they did it in the first place. Then they don't have an answer. And yes, Mr. Ronnie, I do generally wait for them to pay me back, if they do. If not and I have to hunt and travel for them, then they get mugged. After all that, they still want to challenge me for an act they started. If they pay me more than they stole, I send their change back. Do I have to? No, but I feel its a respect thing again. Mr. Zeb, yes I understand that's what the bank is for, but there are many times I just plainly forget to deposit my money. 

I am not mad at getting robbed, just don't like being disrespected when I have a certain stance. If I were a person of rank, and someones stance is not to get pick pocketed, I wouldn't. Again, its simply respect for the person. I am a believer of respect is earned, not automatically given. I can't speak for anyone, but this is only my hypthesis when upper structures rob someone they feel they can do it just because and nothing would happen to them. I feel thats entirely wrong, but that is just me.

Ronnie nods and looks around the crowd, as usual women feint at his sexiness. Ronnie waits for the gentlemen to finish talking. Then begins himself. 

“Honestly Joey_Cortizi I think that’s the problem. People get a little rank on them and think that respect is a one way street. With me being the hand of a family I could just PP and not pay back. Using my rank. If mugged my name would hold more weight. But personally that’s not how I see things. I respect every gangster the same as I respect ever made man above. Yeah those who are made get noticed more. But either way respect should be given back at the same rate it’s given out. I don’t care to be mugged. People should and can mug me as they see fit. Will I complain? Never. But I will However send a mail about how soft your punches were! And obviously how sexy I am.”
