The Panic Room Started by: PoisonIvy on Aug 29, '20 23:58

The basement of which Ivy had found herself in was pitch dark and the air froze the room like the cruelest of winter snow storms. Feeling her way along the cold, unforgiving concrete, Ivy found a groove that led to an external fixing. Moving around this, she felt the rough texture of wood, paired with the smooth honesty of glass. Ivy reached up and felt a mechanism behind the mirror that was attached to the wall. She proceeded to slide the long, glamorous feeling mirror to the left of her body using the fixed sliders and in doing so, revealed a rectangular glimmer of light peering from the cracks of a door.

Opening the door, Ivy discovered what she’d known was there all along – a small 10 by 6 panic room that had seen so many atrocities over the years. The stench of fear, pain and suffering suffocated the room and the walls were awash with the same number sequence carved into them repeatedly

“222666633066666044466 – 999666880966666804338066688880255544488833”

Looking around the room, Ivy found a candelabra with three candles already fitted but not lit. Next to them was a well traveled looking Zippo lighter. Ivy lit the candles and carried them with her out of the panic room, turning the light off as she exited, but leaving the door open.

Upon looking at herself in the mirror, Ivy felt an unknown gust not akin to that you would find in a basement. The image before her in the mirror cracked, distorted, flickered on and off and seemed to act as if independent. It gnarled, growled, laughed uncontrollably, shook hysterically, then let out a violent scream that pierced the surroundings and then stopped. Face down, eyes sinister and looking upwards at Ivy with hair dangling freely and letting out a subtle and continuous death rattle.

Shook from what had just happened, Ivy’s hand was shaking and therefore making the candles flicker profusely, generating a large swirl of smoke. An overwhelming sense of adrenaline coursed through Ivy and she repeatedly hit the mirror until it shattered and smashed into pieces on the floor. Bending down, blood gently dripping onto the floor, Ivy picked up a large shard of glass. Rising again she slowly and methodically walked to the open door and entered the panic room.
