This just shows the paranoid state that we are in around here right now. A load of us need to take a whole bottle of val um just to calm down to some what normal level .

So by your logic, if someone were to rock up to Anton's Funeral, and perhaps congratulate him on his 'stellar Rape Fantasy' and his determination to sodomise another member of the community, that would be perfectly acceptable, as they are simply showing respect at his funeral? I get that you are butt hurt that your daddy/Mommy/Significant other died... and honestly if I wasn't selling them at 2 strips of latinum each I would offer you a tissue... but regardless of how respectful you are of the dead, congratulating someone for killing many of the current ruling class in this thing of ours is not going to end well for you.

There is a world of difference between, "You put up a good fight. Well done." and "I didn’t know you in life, but in death you have my respect. Takes courage to fight for the dead. Rest In Peace." One shows respect for the dead, the other congratulates him for murdering the people who were your Allies. Now, do yourself a favourite, drink some Arsenic, and have your son return to these streets in a more dignified manner.

And there’s the problem with the majority of leadership: paranoia.

People can die at any time. Whether there’s a reason for it or not. You could simply find out your ancestor was shot without any background on it or reasoning for it.

I’d rather be killed knowing I actually fucked up and deserved to die, rather than doing nothing and simply being killed due to my connection with the actual person who fucked up.

My father’s discussion was to generate chatter on how we could better the future for those who are dragged down into hell with their leaders and given no reasoning for it. He didn’t state that I should know why people die. He didn’t state that Defender was a god and we should all submit to his quote on quote “rogue” ways.

He praised him because for someone who would’ve otherwise become target practice for every other mobster out there, Defender set his foot down and brang down especially prominent people with him, like Duggee, Taps-Man, Pencil, and ASorryAss to name a few. He did some major damage to each city.

That only happened because Grin killed off Hush and Elodin simply because they didn’t purge their own members.

That’s where his discussion was trying to go. He asked for explaination in reference to matters like that which are important to the masses and the people who were left without a crew leader.

Your ignorance to this whole discussion is massively obvious, Zek. Nobody is praising Anton for the shit he pulled. abcd’s logic is to simply tip a hat to someone who, against the odds, went down fighting and did it well.

Wheeler put up a goddamn memorial for Anton, received backlash for it, but clarified its meaning behind it. He didn’t praise Anton, he simply states that without him the streets felt a little more empty. Was he shot for it? I’m guessing no, and the bullet instead came from Defender.

I think you need to listen again to what I said LaughableLeadership. I never once said that someone was praising Anton. I said that by abcd's logic, someone who did should get away with it. abcd stated that as long as one is respectful to the dead, you should be able to say what ever you want, this is not and never has been the case. You can congratulate a rogue on their amazing run, without congratulating them on the people they killed, this is why some who posted in his funeral are alive, and others are dead.

I get you may have had a different viewpoint but abcd is in no way vouching for Anton or vouching to allow people to say whatever they want. The gods kill people for talking too much shit in funerals.

My father also never congratulated Defender for killing any specific people, and instead used the words "prominent people".

That is what my father did, that was what abcd tried to elaborate on, and my father was shot because of it before he could clarify his thoughts better.

The Gods dont kill people for talking shit at funerals, at least not in my memory. Funerals have always been ours to police. 

And you said it yourself, abcd said 'people should never die for showing respect at a funeral'... people should never die for showing respect... you can say what you want as long as you show respect... i really cant see a difference.

Those in power write the rules, for better or worse this has been the way of things for more generations than i care to remember. Now at the time of the takedown i was but a lowly associate  so i wasnt privy to what was discussed behind closed doors, but Tetly the Mute made it abundantly clear that he took offence at your father's disrespect. He was going to speak to his CL about it, but then the other hand said similar remarks. It was at this point that Tetley decided that it was more hassle than it was worth and ordered the removal of the whole family. And do you know what? That is his prerogative, because he is in that position and has the gun to back it up. 

Now i get that has left you salty, hell if my old man was shot in the face and died like a bitch in the gutter I'd maybe be salty too. But thats the way of things in this life. Perhaps in a year your family will be on top, making the rules, and shooting Spikes descendants every 48 hours as he calls for people to mark themselves with unleavened bread or Burberry pants.

And currently the people policing the funerals are only crying disrespect when it  is the people that are on their safe list , non killing list. 

You can apparently be disrespectful at a funeral during this regime as long that person is not marked "safe".
