Lilith sat at the table sipping her wine and scribbling in her journal as her food sat in front of her. It'd been a long first day back at work. She didn't think she'd ever make out so good from snatching a few purses. Her hand crept up to the necklace she now wore, nothing sweeter than stolen goods, she thought to herself. Hearing a noise behind her she spun around, keeping her sight hidden as she quickly reached for the knife on her waist, wasn't quick enough. "Whop." Lilith almost lost balance from the unexpected blow, then another sending her right down off the stool and onto the floor. She slowly looked up and saw a man with bright, blue eyes looking down at her with a devilish grin. Lilith sat up, confused and still a bit dazed, her heart began to beat even more rapidly as she tried to piece together who this man could be. "Remember me? You stole my wife's purse yesterday, a very nice necklace too. I was going to report it to the police, then I saw you walking down the street with a smug look on your face, wearing her necklace." The mystery husband's voice rose loud and louder, then click as he drew a gun from seemingly nowhere and held it out towards Lilith. Reaching down he snatched the necklace, ripping her skin in the process and a slight drop of blood began to form. Lilith was still feeling a little disoriented from the unseen blows, when her necklace was ripped from her neck it was a jolt of life releasing from her. Looking up she noticed the man's trembling hands and knew that was her only shot. Lilith quickly scrambled to her feet, grabbing her knife from her waist and placing it at the man's throat, simultaneously pushing his gun-hand down towards his side with the other hand sending the gun sliding across the floor. "I was perfectly content with my evening, until you barge in here with the idea you're going to kill me over a fucking necklace?" Lilith shoved the man down towards the floor and grabbed him by his cheeks making him look up at her. "How would your wife feel?" The man didn't dare utter a word, he sat there frozen, eyes fixed on Lilith. Lilith dug her nails into the mans cheeks, pushing his head back into the wall and squeezing with all her might. "I don't think she'd be too pleased knowing you broke into my home and lost your life over a necklace and a few hundred bucks." "You know, It's a very beautiful necklace, I think I'll keep wearing it. You can tell your wife all about how you failed to get it back when you see her again... in hell." Lilith slashed her knife across the man's ugly scarred throat" She stood over the man as blood poured from him, snatching the necklace back from the man and scoffing at him as he died loudly. "It looks like someone already failed this same operation on you once. Lucky for you, I'm not a doctor." Lilith let out a sinister laugh. She knelt down and flipped the guy on his side, reaching for his wallet she couldn't help but notice the badge on his side. He was never going to turn her in to the police... He was the police... Dirty fucking pigs, they really will do anything for the bacon. Finally it dawned on Lilith, this wasn't the husband. It was a hired assassin, and that meant there would be more of these Corrupt Agents after her. Lilith went back to the table and grabbed her glass of wine, she looked back to the limp body in her dining room. Reaching over and grabbing a candle she placed the flame to the table cloth and headed out the door and towards her families headquarters. It was time to head home. Opening her clutched hand she looked down at the necklace, knowing it was every bit worth it. |

It had been a while since he had heard from Lilith, one of his newest family members. Skorpeon started to grow very concerned. After speaking with each of the members he realized no one had heard from her which made his anxiety worse. Skorpeon set out on a mission to find her. Skorpeon walked over to her residence and banged on the door, when no one answered in five seconds, he kicked the door in. As the door fell, he noticed Lilith sitting at the table sipping wine and a dead body in her living room bleeding from the neck.
"What the fuck happened here? Are you ok?" he asked. |
