LL had been tirelessly filling out bank transfers the entire day. A singular dollar to everyone he managed to see.

His hands finally cramped up as he finished the final name. He slipped it over the counter and walked out of the building.

And he still had more writing to finish.

The post office was quiet, probably because it had been robbed earlier that day. Regardless, LL painstakenly wrote a final thank you message to all the names who had stepped forward themselves:

"It takes minimal effort to write a response to something. Usually, if that something is a gift, people have more incentive to write a response or some form of thank you. It's common courtesy.

However, this was a gift of unexpectedness. There was no requirement to leave a response.

And yet, you folks did.

Regardless of the circumstances, to me even leaving the slightest notion of courtesy is a wonderful character trait. It shows you care about the little things in the big picture.

This life is tough. It's hard. It is really, really hard. Some people push through, others don't.

For now, I may not step foot in these streets for a while. And you may not either. But for those who continue to work hard and take steps forward, make sure to take care of yourself every now and then.

With the final period dotted, LL slipped the letters into the outbox, stretched his hand, and calmly walked out of the post office.

Upon a new letter he received LL quickly made out to include Bandito in his list.

Boulevard peered outside the window from time to time to see if he had gotten any mail, he was beginning to think no one really cared for him.

One day, to his surprise, the little orange flag on the side of the mailbox was pointing up. Extremely elated, Boulevard opened the front door and skipped and hopped towards the mailbox. As he took his last hop at the mailbox, he quickly opened the mailbox and cut his hand on it trying to retrieve the mail that was inside.

After opening the dented mailbox that was now on the floor and carefully reaching inside for the letter, Boulevard's eyes open wide as he tore the side of the envelope to slide the letter out only to find that it wasn't a letter, but a fresh and crisp one dollar bill.

Boulevard jumped for joy before running into the house to find a picture frame to add the dollar to and hang it above the fireplace.

He grabbed a pen and paper and began to write:

Dearest LaughableLeadership,

 

Thank you so much for the dollar bill, it is nice and crisp and smells like ink, one of my favorite scents! How did you know?

You are an awesome person for this kind gesture and I wish you well with everything for the future... I heard you might be the father? Well, congratulations!

LL worked quickly to include LouisVuitton, DonnieBrasco-, and Andre_Nickatina in his mail list, hoping not to forget anyone.

He noticed a new letter when he arrived home, sent from Boulevard. He quickly smiled and wrote up a response:

Dear Boulevard,

Thank you very much Boulevard! I sincerely thank you for your own kind gestures. It's the little things that matter most to me, and you are part of the good in this world. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day. Good luck to you.
