| A pool of cash for new members | Started by: Mareo on Sep 23, '20 05:59 |

So a second idea I have posted. (different names) is this. When a new member arrives they receive a sum of money that is collected from a pool of benefactors. So basically this. Every week I throw in ten thousand to a pool designated for 'new player start up fund' it works through the system of MR knowing what emails have already been registered with other accounts and not. We benefactors donate to this fund to provide a equal footing to new players. So if Johnny off the boat who has played a couple of characters gets five percent. Johnny off the boat who's played once before gets fifteen percent. Johnny off the boat who hasn't played before gets twenty percent. (Obviously % is up to admins and such) I think a "generous" donation from established members of MR to NEW players could be beneficial with roping in new players and benefit the site with traffic. Cause I mean, if Im starting a new text based rpg and the 'established' membership is willing to give me a "hefty" monetary startup, I'd be willing to play more. Grease the wheels so to speak. Thoughts? Prayers? Obviously the donation will be voluntary. But if reckon a lot of frequent players would be willing to donate to a slush for 'NEW' players. |

I gotta go with no. You can make some decent money by voting. A lot of crews will give out loans or start-up money to new members when it's needed or even "just because". |

| That’s a no from me as well. Sort of takes away from having to work to get some cash flow started. Besides that, it’s too easy to start a new email to receive free money. Too many ways around this to be a valid option IMO. However I do see where you’re coming from with your idea. 👍 | |

Quite frankly this isn't really needed as it's not that hard to make money from the get go. So a big old no from me. |
