Draco's Cauldron Started by: Draco on Oct 05, '20 03:06

“Thanks vGoddess I totally forgot about our own range of candy. How stupid of me. I thought I needed the hair of good boy Draco to change into him, but with this candy I don’t need it anymore. “

Madhatter looked at Draco and said :

“No hard feelings I hope. Like I said I’ll watch over the bar for a minute so you can play a hand with this lovely lady. “

After that Madhatter picked up the candy Venus had given him and swallowed it whole. He took al large sip out of his butterbeer to wash it down with and at that moment he was Draco. Or at least he looked like Draco. Of course he still had his high hat on so people to see who was who, and where would the rabbit stay if he would have lost his hat.

Thinking about the Rabbit Madhatter walked around the bar, pushed Draco out and got in his place. He faced Draco and said.

“What can I do for you sir, would you like a Felix Felici's Liquid Luck? That might help you in the game and in other aspects of your life. And for the lady I’ll make another Unicorn Blood.”

He might like being someone else for ones, he hoped he could do this more often with other places as well.

Draco was shocked to turn and see the polyjuice potion still having lingering effects on this man, perhaps he was no common muggle as he continued to laugh and parade around the bar.. with some weird cat walking around the brim of his hat.. That was when the man said something out of the blue, one of Draco's girlfriends??

"No one asked for your opinion you filthy mudblood!"

Draco continued to blush as his face turned even more red as the man continued to insinuate he had a thing for the woman infront of him.

"You really are mad! A man simply is being a good host to his patrons, which is why I will go ahead and retrieve that butter beer for you..."

Draco turned and began mumbling a curse under his breath as he put together the condition before turning back around and placing it down on the bar infront of Madhatter

"Here's your butter beer... Get that in you so you can call yourself down a bit! I don't need you to watch the bar but-"

The man cut him off as he insisted.... Draco sighed and shook his head and began to escort vGoddess to the back where the card game was played.. by the time he returned the man had changed back into Draco once again and was tending to people walking in...

"Sir.. you are becoming one hell of a customer... Or headache I'm not sure which, now change into someone else other than me, I can't stand someone else using an image of myself!"

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

Here he was now, a place where people seemed to frequent a lot now and maybe this was the type thing he needed to get ahead of his competition. He knew that some things took more times than others and this was one of those times when the luxurious things were not going to help him in the slightest.

"Is this the right choice? You have me saying that damn right it is, he's a member and someone that clearly has his head on his shoulders, I haven't got anything else for a distro point, and he's one of the few that I can see making a fucking difference, alright?!"

Gerry shook his head, not understanding why they needed to go to this guy, the way he worked and went about his business. Draco was someone that he did not want connected to his boss, yet he's the one that was in charge and what Rom said went for his business. All he could do was voice it AND MAYBE, it was taken on board.

Stepping into the cauldron or as it was called, Draco's Cauldron, Rom found himself a bit...well, out of place. He wanted to make a deal with the man, something that would net him much profit. Yet from the way people seemed a bit peeved at his attitude, how he played himself off, it would look like this was not going to go the way he wished.

Sighing, he walked towards the bar as Gerry kept an eye out, one thing he did notice was vGoddess, she seemed to be someone that was here as well, he wondered what that meant. Maybe this place was a society kind of place, he didn't know, he wasn't exactly a made guy yet, and he didn't know when he would be...

He hadn't exactly been called in for that meeting, his eyes turned to look at the joint. Rom could admire the place, it certainly left little to be desired, it offered the usual, drinks and entertainment. He wasn't always looking for such a thing but currently, he wished to be talking business and moving the product...

"He's over there, you want to wait or should I call him over?"

Gerry's eyebrow had risen, giving the boss, seemingly, an option. In truth, he was going to alert him either way. He wanted this over with, HIS Boss was beholden to the code, to what he had done for them. Yet, he, well, he wasn't behold to it. He was here for the pay, his boss, Rom, seemingly knowing what was going on his mind, gave him a look. Sighing, he stood beside his boss as the man continued to look around.

For once, Rom took a basket of cashew nuts, he really needed to get some for his home. It seemed every bar in Detroit had these, for now, he was relaxing and would let Draco speak with him when he wasn't exactly busy with other people...hmm, for right now, he was going to enjoy himself.

"Eh, calm down Gerry, he's calm...just, ease up a little...you'll be getting a huge envelope at the end of the week. Remember that."

At least that was what he could use for now, Rom could see that the man felt uncomfortable. So, he hoped that this could go as smooth as he wished. Because the shipment was coming and a third place for their business would seriously need to be picked up, otherwise, he was going to be knee-deep in shit, trying to make sure he got something, any building to funnel his drug and drug money through...

The front doors opened once again, causing Draco's head to turn and glance in it's direction, giving the two men who entered a faint head nod before turning his attention to the patrons at the bar. The man was still laughing hysterically at Draco and still turning himself to and from Draco and back into his crazy self, he wondered how the hell the cat stayed on top of the hat of Madhatter but that for for another time. He sighed and shook his head as he gathered a menu from behind the bar and walked over to the table that the two men sat down at.

Draco could slightly hear them talking and one smacked the other on the arm as he approached. The two men both then turned to him causing a bit of uneasiness.. Draco paused in place and glaced over to Goyle at the doorway and have a slight nod, sort of a signal to keep a watch. He continued a few steps forward before clearing his throat as he came to the side of the table.

"Evening gentleman, welcome to Draco's Cauldron, take a gander at the menu and let me know if there is anything that suits your liking.

He carefully placed the menu down on the table as he held eye contact with the man in the left who appeared to be in charge, the man called him Rom he thought.. before standing up straight and placing his hands behind his back..

"I serve only the finest drinks here in Detroit.. probably some you won't find any any other pub."

"Bourbon, and you got a cook 'ere mate? I'm hankering for some chips or...fries as the Americans call it."

Giving the man a wink, he found himself ever so slightly wondering what he could do to endear himself. Times had changed from the moment he had found himself as a small-time distribution. He had plenty of places working for him, he wished to go into business in plenty of other cities. For right now, he needed to make sure that certain things remained just the way they were. So, how did he play this one? Slowly begin to know Draco or offer him something that he desired?

Rom wasn't going to lie, he noticed when Gerry tensed, the man had been his ever faithful guard. The man had always been his shield, while he had been more of the pen, sometimes he had a second guard to act as the...sword or gun in this case. It wouldn't be necessary, he would be at his ease, and he did so with offering Draco a little more than necessary with a twenty grand tip.

"Tell me, how do serve the finest drinks in Detroit? I mean, do you own a warehouse or your own brewery? I find myself curious and a little more than wary of how you do business? Of course, it's your...business, should you wish to divulge, I can't force it from you. Unless our two heavies wish to begin a brawl in the middle of your...cauldron was it called?"

Sounded like a fantasy book, maybe that is what drew him in. Especially the name, the man was well known and his name reminded him of that of a drake, a baby dragon of legend. So maybe that is why he found himself curious but with nothing more than a childish glimmer in his dull eyes, he went blank faced.

"Still, I'm sure we could avoid that, after all, I'm here for companionship and some chat. I hear that the owners of such...pubs make for the greatest of partners in both, would you indulge that?"

And like that, his lips twitched at the corners, hoping that maybe Draco took a seat and decided to give him the time of the day. Of course, Rom was in no position to demand anything. At least, not yet, from where he was standing. He knew that many things could have happened, one was him being thrown out by said heavy, anything could have happened.

Rom hoped that it would be the former, he was much more ready for chat than that of having a brawl, and he would not be the one to assist or help. He knew his limits...when they weren't tested.

Ken wandered around Detroit looking for a special place to drink. He stumbled upon Draco's Cauldron and immediately walked in. The place was very low key and seemed to be the perfect place to drink silently and in peace. He ordered The Phoenix Feather and sat in silence while he waited for his drink.

Report Post Tip

Draco listened to the man as he spoke quite closely, he inquired about his drinks and how he had the finest, or course he was not one to divulge the way he produced his magical concoctions as muggles were not fancy to magic. The man finished but he asked about a partnership.. it wasn't the exact area to discuss such things but he did have a small office in the back.

He glanced back over to Goyle and nodded before returning his attention to the man.

"I would love to discuss the way my drinks are made but, a magician never reveals his secrets.."

He slyly reached his into the cuff if his sleeve and pulls a card out from it and show the man the joker card before clasping his hands together and making it disappear. He smirked before reaching into the front of Rom's pocket and pulled the card from it again.

"See? I sort of do the same with my specialty drinks here... But I see your not too interested in that, more along the lines of talking business... Please follow me to the back to my office-"

He paused as he noticed as KenKaneki walked into the pub and pointed to a seat for the man before excusing himself for a moment and taking the man's order before slowly coming back to the table and calling Goyle over to the table.

"Apologies, this place is always busy.. my bodyguard Goyle will escort you to the back room, just wait outside the door until I finish bringing this customer his drink."

Report Post Tip

Draco excused himself once again and walked behind the bar to make the Liquid Luck for @KenKaseki .. the place was a busy one lately and Draco seemed to always be a step behind. He had thought of hiring help but he couldn't trust a muggle in charge of this place. And better yet, there was no other wizard around in Detroit besides his father Scorpius, and he was certainly not going to come down here to make the drinks.

He felt off a deep sigh as he finished gathering the necessary ingredients and pulling his wand from his coat pocket and waving it over the cup. It magically put itself together and a nice bubbley orange fizzy drink formed and Draco smiled. He was always proud of his work, he gracefully carried the drink back to the table and set it down

"Here you are sir, my apologies for the slight wait.. it's a busy place as you can see. If you need anything else please let one of my associates behind the bar know."

He took a slight now before heading into the back where his office was, Rom wasn't back here yet, perhaps Goyle and him got lost along the way, but no matter he needed a moment to sit down and gather his thoughts.

his office door creaked open as he entered and various potions and cash were seem laying around on how desk. He quickly sat down in his leather seat and let off a slight sigh. It was hard being a wizard sometimes in the muggle world, buy he had done well so far. There was still work to be done but Draco was eager, and this man had a business proposition for him, he was always interested in business.. it meant money..

The door creaked open again and Rom stepped through with his associate and Goyle.. Draco quickly pointed to the seat across from him and smirked.

"Have a seat friend, can I offer you a smoke perhaps? Or another drink before we get talking? I don't think you had one at your table.."

Report Post Tip

Rom didn't know how to feel, the way he played the game and how Draco often made his thoughts known. He had already been able to deduce that he wanted something more from this meeting, so when he entered, he didn't know what to expect and then there was the other heavy in all of this, the man had kept close. For a moment, Rom thought it was about to head into another direction entirely, but then he was standing opposite Draco.

Noticing that Gerry had followed after him, Rom knew the added comfort of having his own heavy with him helped in giving him a sense of freedom within this conversation. Draco seemed to have changed ever so slightly, from jovial and friendly bartender to a man who knew to adjust the playing field to fit his setting. One minute, Rom was the mysterious customer who approached the man, hoping for conversation. Now he was the invitee.

His playing ground was one where it was only slightly level, in this office, Draco had the advantage. He had no need to be jovial in the face of a pair of men who clearly wanted more than drinks, yet there was still the look he gave, an invitation for a drink and Rom didn't know whether that this would be going one or two ways, so he sat down, accepting the drink and asking for a bourbon, once again.

"A smoke would do wonders for me, and I did not, I'll wait. No worries, you seem to have a mind for knowing when someone wants something, young dragon. It's admirable..."

With that, Rom leaned forward, remembering the small moment where Draco played that smirk on his lips. Like he knew, this was more than just booze, he wished to introduce Draco into a new game. Yet the way he seemingly....had a hand in this game and played it. He wondered if the man would think this...below him.

"I'm here to discuss business but you knew that already, I don't wish to keep you to long. I'm sure that many people out there wish to make sure that they receive the booze they desire."

And this is where he would make his play, one that would have been noticed by the common grunt. Draco had to know where this was going, an introduction into something bigger than just...booze.

"Have you ever...had the idea of venturing into other avenues? One where you could make triple or four times the cash you are making now in say...2 weeks?"

He leaned back, allowing the young man to mull it over and collect his thoughts, Rom didn't wish to bombard him. He would wait and see where the young man wished to head, it was always best for business.
