Anyone out there playing in VR? Whats your favorite gear? What about Games?

I have the Rift and honestly loving every minute of it. Some of the games are crap but there are a bunch of very cool games like Fallout, Skyrim, lots of walking dead, Half Life, etc. 

So anyway... what your thoughts What do you have and what good games you playing?

I toyed with the idea of getting the PlayStation VR system when it first came out but never got round to it, mainly because of the lack of games that were out. Now we're a few years on and I've preordered the PlayStation 5, is the VR worth it?

So I cant say if the PS VR is worth it or not since I never tried it. However VR has come a long way and the games (not cheap ones) are really realistic and some of the none game adventures are amazing. You can lose yourself in the view. If your a gamer its a whole new experience. If you ever played Skyrim.... a HUGE new experience

I am really interested in VR, especially with the release of the new Half-Life, but I am kinda down the xbox rabbit hole, I am hoping they add VR in the future with the new X series. We'll see...

Tried Half Life. Again amazing experience. I have the xbox also but got tired of waiting for VR on there

I have wanted to get one for so long. My wife has been against it, but I understand her reasoning with us just buying a house and putting alot of money into renovations. But I made it clean when the ps5 comes out, ill be getting the vr for it. I think I deserve it with all the work I have been putting into this house.

My biggest problem is that I am very animated when playing VR games. I have to have the wireless setup. Let's just say the first time I played the Occulus on my buddy's set, I got a little too carried away dodging bullets. Luckily, I hurt myself rather than my friend's setup. He still has the video of it and shows it at work. That being said, I love my PC rig, but I do not own the PS setup. I played once or twice, but it wasn't the same to me as PC. (And yes, Skyrim is far superior on VR than regular)

The only VR thing I tried (if it's already a VR thing) is one of those big goggles, at some friends'. It was some racing game on playstation I think, and we used it with a racing wheel aswell, though except looking a bit around it didn't added much to it, other the fact that it perceived me as crazy short, and I could barely see something over the cockpit.

I've looked into VR a few times now and wonder is it recommended only for a powerful computer? 

I'm really curious on this VR buy can't really afford it right now though.  But maybe sometime in the future I will look into it

So I have the Oculus Quest, and honestly it's pretty fun.... I have a PS4 but have not tried out the VR for PS... but from what I've heard it is pretty good... VR is just a preference... I don't play mine a whole ton, but it's fun to play every now and then, and show others what it's like you know?

Is Virtual Reality worth investing in? I've been debating on it but only time i've seen it was with the ps4

The only thing I ever played on the VR was star wars multiplayer and it hury my eyes a ton after like 6 hours.  I use to lay in bed and watch game of thrones on it too.  That wasn't bad. 

Have any of you lot played Star Wars: Squadrons with VR yet? 

I've been extremely tempted to buy a VR set just for this game but I can't quite figure out if it will actually be worth it or not. I've near enough completed the Story mode without it anyway but for the experience alone, i'm tempted. 

Tough decision at £250 just for the sake of one game. 

I bought an Oculus Rift even before the touch controllers came out. It was gimmicky, but once the touch controllers launched it was a whole new world. I really enjoyed my first few experiences in VR, but it's starting to feel like a toy now, where I really had hoped it was going to open up a huge world of AAA games.

So for those thinking about it I will tell you I have the Rift and beefed up gaming system. This of course runs all the good stuff and in VR yes its killer. However if your looking to step in but dont have the big computer the new quest does great. no external sensors worried me but the tracking on it is great. Now there are good games and having the link cable will help. there are also crap games but thats with any system. 

Overall not a bad investment to start

I have the VR for Playstation and I could not be happier with it.  A few of the VR games like Skyrim or Beat Saber are going to wear you out pretty quickly and you'll need to take a break after a few hours, but it is also immensely enjoyable for normal viewing as the upscale on the VR means you are looking at a 200" or larger screen for whatever you are watching (or playing, as you can play normal games on it as well with a regular controller), which is more than enough to give you a theater experience.
