I live in the UK so we don't face the same problems as the US, but we still have protest's over everything from COVID, 5g towers, helping the NHS, Black Lives Matter, Brexit etc. Sadly the media and politicians feel like the enemy of the people in many of these scenarios where people see them out for their side, virtue signalling their political views and companies are no different so is all encompassing, like some companies like Gilette did and lost 8 billion in value. |

Hi all. Very hard times were livin, I don't think i would go thru something like this someday, only in movies. 2 things needed to say about what I ve been reading here: -masks are vital, period. Go and read inforn yourself, it's not a choice. It shouldn't be. -people are behaving as humans allways do among a mix of panic, selfishness or indifference. Whetever entity or concept your Into I think that thing is Watching and testing us all, or warning for what to become of us if we don't change our behavior towards us and... The planet. |

I wear a mask every day, all day. I wear one to work, to stores, to restaurants or wherever there are people. I do this first because it is required in my state and locality and 2nd I do it for every living person that I come into contact with. Those that cannot do the simple task of wearing one to protect others is just selfish imo. What I do laugh about with these masks now is, passing someone and complimenting them on their mask. Cool designs and styles. Like we normally would do with someone's hair, shirt, etc. This is just the new norm for awhile. Do your part. It's not that big a deal other than saving lives and stopping the spread and hoping some day it will all be over. The more people do their part the faster it's gone. Don't hate - Just My Opinion! |

I feel terrible for those that cant spend time with their loved ones. Even worse for those that cant have a proper funeral. Hope these times pass soon. |

My grandma has been locked inside her nursing home since March, we have to wave from a window. The only person she gets to see face to face is my dad who takes her to appointments. I lost my job in June and I'm trying to help my teenagers figure out the whole distance learning bit. To say this year has been crazy is an understatement. This year has been batshit but somehow I think I've adjusted to the insanity. |

I am just trying to stay same and not let my paranoia get the best of me. I have a few of the underlying conditions like being a smoker. I take care of my elderly mother. What would happen to her if something happened to me. And what would I do if I caught it and passed it on to her. I miss her grandchildren coming over and visiting her but they are so careless. They go about the daily routine like nothing is happening out there. They rip and run like it's a normal day. A family member already tested positive and we had to do the testing and quarantine for the 14 days. Thank God we tested negative. If I have to hibernate for the winter and stay mostly indoors that's what I going to do. |

The virus is becoming more active in our community as we head indoors and come in closer contact with each other. We're not able to gather as much outside. I'm done with it. Can't see family or do much of anything. This shit needs to end soon! |

2020 has been the worst for my depression with this virus and other things going on in my life right now. Just hope 2021 is much better as I couldn't go through another year like this one. |

| I can't see that it's affected people much in my state at least. Like I got out of school early and everything because of Covid. I noticed the riots that happend mid-summer and depressing stuff like the Breonna Taylor incident on the news. | |

there is reluctance in my small little town to wear a mask...i wear one but only cover my mouth as i have a breathing issue...it's really bad that we have to wear one at all and i certainly hope things get better, stay healthy everyone! |

The covid numbers are racing up in Europe again after an initial improvement in summertime. Most countries attribute this increasing number to the fact people spend more time indoors and i agree to that partially, but my personal opinion is that people are just getting tired. Stop doing the distancing, wearing the mask properly at all times, stop washing their hands as often and/or sanitizing it. Potentially this is a financial reason, e.g. not all of us can afford staying home, not everyone is allowed to work from home or even can afford all these protective attributes. I however think that the key issue we have is people's discipline and beliefs. People listen always to the most positive news, e.g. case go down, restrictions are lifted, a vaccine is being developed and are like 'whoop let's go out'. No no no, if it's allowed it still does not mean it's the smart or responsible thing to do. Being with people not your household is a free choice, it's a risk you take for yourself but as well as to anyone you get in contact with afterwards. If you 'only' see 5 people, it does not mean you only expose yourself to 5 individuals, but it's also the individuals they are exposed to before and after meeting you. So in conclusion do not tell yourself beautiful lies, suck up the side effects and just stay home, wear masks all the time (covering mouth and nose, the mask does not impede your breathing, if it does get a proper one) and keep distance. We don't trust people in this game, apply that as well to real life and we'll all be safer |

I really hate this virus as I got everything going great with my mother and then lockdown for most of the year. When I finally did. Get to see her she changed so much. |

New lockdowns in the UK, which will engulf north and midlands and still the economic v people risk, more people protesting it in London, and people still willing even students to invoke 10k fines for being caught hosting covid parties. Wedding same way going ahead with 250 guests and not getting away with it. At the same time an increase in violence on those not wearing masks, you can't change people sadly, they will do what they want. |
