| Anyone else doing Inktober or similar drawing prompts? | Started by: Ham on Oct 14, '20 22:38 |

Inktober is a fun daily drawing prompt where you take a list of vague ideas and turn them into art! I am personally not doing the regular Inktober prompts, but I am using prompts from a local art store. Anyone else doing something similar? I'd love to see your art! I'll post links to my prompts if anyone is interested!
I haven't done every prompt because frankly some of them suck, but I try to keep up. |

Since I have the artistic skills of Michael J Fox dual wielding Copic 1.0mm Multiliners, I do try to do a non artistic challenge of some sort everyday whether it be riddles, puzzles or some kind of absolutely nonsensical coding challenge. For example today I have it set so that when the light goes on in the office bathroom, and the outlet that the bidet is plugged into has an X draw over Y time, followed by the light gets shut off, it fires up the shed microwave to make popcorn, when done it messages my tvs in the house that Operation Poo Then Chew has commenced. Absolutely pointless exercise, but it's forward progress every day in some capacity... Long story short - gotta keep me brain from becoming mush yo. |

Personally i had never heard of Inktober, stoptober was the only thing as such as i heard of around drinking or smoking. With lockdown i must admit could be interesting from a mental health prospective as an outlet. |

Interesting, I have never heard of Inktober. I'm not great at painting, but I think I'm moderately good at pencil/color pencil sketches and drawings of birds. I especially like putting in lots of feather details and getting the overall "feel" of species right. |

Interesting, where do you get your prompts? I've got some blank canvases and painting supplies waiting for me to do something with them. It had been my intention to either take an online painting course or maybe just find some instructional videos on YouTube, a la Bob Ross, haha. |

I only just heard of this this year, is there somewhere you get the prompts or do you come up with your own? I haven't done any art in a while as I was lacking inspiration and something like this might help. |

Hadn't heard of this before, interesting and fun idea, although I'm not especially skilled in this area, a dreary wintry month isn't the best for artistic inspiration either :/ |

| It's an awesome challenge but due to poor time management i have never managed to complete it. I use the classic prompts but instead of doing them daily i do them on a weekly basis. | |

Well, I got about 10 prompts done. I had hoped to do more, but it's been a busy month!
As for monthly challenges, some people use November for writing. |
