The Morningwood Academy had been established in the city of Chicago for some time now. It had been founded by the great Don Kimble not only as the legitimate face of his operations, but also to recruit the best and brightest young mobsters who showed great promise, and to turn them into something even better. Unlocking their potential if you will. And thus turning them into the Morningwood Elite. In that regard, SpuffWaffle felt that the Academy had done a reasonable job. Looking around the city, there was no small number of crewleaders and hands that had begun their life under the tutelage and guidance of Kimble. That was something that Spuff felt particularly proud of. He had been there from the beginning, offered the chance to help out by his erstwhile Godfather. He had been saddened to depart from Roman's direct family since he had enjoyed his time there, and found the relationship to be extremely profitable in both monetary and experience terms. However, the opportunity to further advance the fine city's goals had been something that he felt he could not refuse.

Although Spuff had done what he could to help out, the driving force behind Morningwood's success had undoubtedly and unequivocally always been Kimble. His ability, experience and knowledge had all been unquestionable, but the overriding attribute that earned him the respect he held had always been the way he conducted himself. Patient when required, admonishing when needed, he always behaved with the utmost professionalism, and always had time to listen to any concerns that the Morningwood Elite might have. His members realised this, and as such held him in the highest regard. Their resulting loyalty and dedication was always appreciated by those at the top, and for that reason Spuff felt it incumbent upon himself to try and continue the fine tradition that had begun.

Pondering all this, Spuff thought back to the events of a few days ago…

Having been called to see his boss, Chicago's finest, nay, ONLY Waffle rapped at Kimble's door. A voice called from within to enter.

Aah, Spuff my good man, I am glad you have come. I'll cut right to the chase. It's been some time since we founded the family, and I've enjoyed myself here. But truth is, I'm tired. I need to take a step back from it all, and I wanted you to be the first to know. We've built a good thing here, and I'd hate to see it broken up. And so, if you are willing, I'd like you to take over the reins.

Shock spreading over his face, Spuff exclaimed his surprise. Sure this was some sort of jest. His boss had never been averse to the odd prank.

No, I'm afraid I am deadly serious this time. Other things call my attention, and I know that you know how things should be run around here in my absence.

The pair ended up talking for quite some time, and an extended period later, Spuff had agreed to step up.

Snapping out of his reverie, he decided that it might be best if he let one or two people know about what was to happen.

Ladies. Gentlemen. And Fernando_Torres. It is with a heavy heart that I come to you today. As most of you will already be aware following Godfather Roman's announcement, I have been asked to take over Kimble's role as leader of the Morningwood Elite. I do not consider this to be a new family, but merely a change in ownership if you will. Kimble has done an excellent job in constructing this family, and I would hate to see that effort go to waste. I therefore wish to inform you that our doors remain open, and I hope that I am able to repay the faith that has been placed in me by the city of Chicago. I have been left with some rather big shoes to fill, but I will perform my duties to the best of my ability and if I manage to be even half the leader that my predecessor is, I can die a happy man. In celebration, I'll be having a bit of a knees-up round at my place later. You're all invited (yes, even you Panda), but please, don't set fire to the ceiling this time.

Kimble did great job and i am sure that you will follow his steps SpuffWaffle. I wish you all best in your new role.

Being one of the first to arrive to the steady growing crowd Juggalo managed to hold a spot in front, after hearing Spuffwaffles speech he decided to take a step forward. Clearing his throat and letting a smirk run from one ear to another he looks up at his leader, the man who would be carrying out leadership of The Morning Wood Elite.

Fantastic speech Spuff, and I must say that im glad that you did take the opportunity to take over leadership of this amazing family. Kimble is right, we do have a good thing going here and Kimble has put a lot of work into creating this family and forming into what it is today. Im sure he new there was only one man who could keep that going in his absence.

I hope to see the old friend pop in once and awhile though, he will be greatly missed around all of Chicago, and more then likely even some of the other bordering cities. Gotta do what you gotta do though, and as always my hats off to em, well done bro.

Got a good family, and you have been with The Morning Wood Elite since the beginning so you know what its all about better then any of us Mr SpuffWaffle.

With me being one of the oldest members of The MorningWood elite I can safely say that no one can fill Don Kimbles shoes but you. Don Kimble was the head of the family but you were as responsible as he was in making the family what it is today. It is amazing to see how many of the family have been given the honour of setting up their own family and just goes to prove that those from MorningWood are the elite outside of Godfather Romans family of course.

It is with great honour that I am able to continue to serve in what has become one of my line's favourite families and believe me I've been through a lot.

Having been with the Morningwood Elite since joining this life and working alongside you, under Kimble, I know there is no one better to take his place to lead the family. While it is sad to see Kimble take a back seat, it is a joyous occasion to see you stepping up. As TomCollins stated, the members of the Morningwood Elite are truly Elite. During my time in those halls, I couldn't ask for a better family. I am sure you will carry on the legacy and keep Kimble's dream alive. Congratulations, SpuffWaffle.

Panda steps forward to shake SpuffWaffle's hand before walking off, down the streets of wondrous city.

Lila steps forward, sniffling slightly, and thinking back on how Kimble and SpuffWaffle invited her mother into their brand new crew, believing in her potential.  Then they believed in her and taught her everything she knew.  She was incredibly sad to see her beloved crew leader step down, but she understood that he needed a break.  Her ancestors had been there.

She had been chain smoking as soon as she’d found out that Kimble was stepping down and that SpuffWaffle was to take his place.  She was even more shocked that SpuffWaffle believed in her enough to make her his RHM.  

The woman steps forward, cigarette in hand, to congratulate and hug the Waffle.

“Congrats Spuffy.  I know that with all of your experience you’ll do Chicago proud.”

Simplicity walked over to Lila and wiped a few of her tears away that had appeared. Hugging her as a friend would do she then turned to SpuffWaffle.

This crew had been her home. They took her in and they breathed life into her after she ran from her own family. Kimble became like a father to her and the rest, brothers and sisters. Even though they could never replace her brother that was murdered, she still loved them all just the same. Even with many of them leaving to forge a new life in Chicago they would always remain her family.

Stepping up to SpuffWaffle she gave him a big hug and didn't let go for a few seconds.

"Everyone can say you deserve this. If anyone didn't I would slap them in the face! Congrats, deary. I look foward to working under you."

Glad to see your hard work paying off SpuffWaffle. I'd wish you luck, but I doubt you'll need it. Salut my Friend

Kurtz got out of a car and walked up to Spuff. Clearly a few drinks shy of hammered, he grinned at his friend in his new suit.

Hello Spuff. First I'd like to agree how sad it is that a man such as Kimble has been forced to take the quiet life. It is never a good day when a man such as that needs to step aside. However we all know how external pressures and increasing interests from the evil Federal forces, can place a fine upstanding mobster in such a position as to have no choice. My thoughts are with you my friend and I hope you enjoy a well earned rest. Now...

Placing both drunken hands on Spuff's shoulders. Kurtz put on his best sincere drunk face and raised a very Italian eyebrow in order to emphasise his thoughtful sincerity.

You my good man. You have so much to give and here you are! All suited and booted and ready to deliver! Ooo sexeh! ...Seriously though, everyone knows how capable you are and how much you command the respect and indeed love of those who surround you. I'm sure you'll deliver everything Roman could wish for and enrich Chicago's presence on every level.

Taking a silver hip flask from his jacket pocket, he slugged a mouthful and smiled at his friend. Patting him on the shoulder he took a few steps away toward the waiting car and turned back. Pointing a happy finger in Spuff's general direction.

Go get em lad!

Sal walks up to SpuffWaffle and firmly shakes his hand

"I witnessed first hand the amount of work you put in for Morningwood, there is nobody I can think of that is better suited to take over the reigns of the family. I think I speak for anybody that was ever apart of Morningwood when I say we all owe a great deal to you my friend"

Sal smiles warmly and nods his head

"Congratulations, I wish you the best of luck with this new chapter of your story. Chicago can only go up with you as its underboss"

It kills me to see Kimble step down, he has been a rock in Chicago and i will never forget everything he done for me personally and the city. He has done more than enough to warrant a good break and i wish him all the best.

Spuff my dear, i love you. I can think of no-one better to step up and take this role on. You have been everything expected of a RHM plus much more. Morningwood are in safe hands with you and i wish you all the best.

Bag was part of the crowd of people who were listening to Spuff's speech. After seeing his crew leader, Fernando making his speech, Bag decides to make his to. He made his way up to the front .

" Firstly, congratulations Spuff. "Bag paused and took a deep breathe before continuing .

" Secondly, although I have not known you for long since I've become a mafia only just recently, I can tell that You have a quality of a great leader. I am sure you will be able to do an excellent job with the morningwood elite, which was kimble's family but now made yours."

"Lastly, good luck on everything and al lthe best " 

Bag ended his speech and made his way back to the crowd before finalyl leaving.

Hearing of the stepping down of Don Kimble , she felt in shock and couldn't speak for a long time. But when she heard the reasons behind it and also learn that its the wonderful, dashing and extraordinaire Spuffy that will take in the family of morningwood ...she know without a doubt that all is well.

Spuffwaffle, with the here and now chat that we have I know that you are going to be a great leader ....as good as Don kimble have been. And for you being underboss of Chicago just show how great you are as a leader and how our Great Godfather Roman trust you.

Having stood and listened to what his close friend SpuffWaffle had just announced, _Isacaron_ stood there with mixed feelings. After a minute or two he stepped forward...

Kimble, I don't quite have the words to describe how I am feeling right now. You have been such a good friend to myself and my father. From the first day he arrived in Chicago you took him in and gave him a chance many wouldn't. After his tragic death you then took me under your reigns and helped me get where I am today. I thank you for everything you have done for me over these past months, I shall be forever grateful. It has been a great pleasure to work under you Sir. Take it easy old timer.

_Isacaron_ turned towards Spuff and smiled.

Congratulations my friend, you've worked extremely hard and have undoubtedly earned this. Kimble has left behind some big shoes to fill as Underboss but I know you will do a fantastic job, I couldn't think of a better person to take it on. I look forward to what the future holds for Chicago with Godfather Roman and yourself at the helm.

He then nodded in appreciation of both Kimble and SpuffWaffle before stepping back into the crowd.

Normally Karma-Couture wasn't too keen on social visits, actually, these days she pretty much moved around in the shadows.
Being just a Wise-Guy no-one every really noticed her, unless she was drunk, but that is a story for another day.

Today however, she was looking forward to the social visit she had planned! Whilst making some final arrangements for shipment that was due for doogle she had overhead a few locals talking about movements in Chicago.
Chicago, a fine and powerful city Karma had always admired. A city her mother had lived in and always had told her many great stories about.
One person in particular had been mentioned more than once by her mother; SpuffWaffle, a fine gentlemen her mother had always enjoyed working with.
Karma herself had only ran into him a few times but that didn't stop her from visiting him today.

From a distance she spotted the man, he was wearing a very smooth suit finished by one of the finest homburg hats Karma had seen.
For a second she hestitated if she should continue approaching the man. Maybe this wasn't the right time, he seemed awfully busy.

Just when she was about to turn around she spotted Lila, Kimble former Left Hand Woman. She was smoking a cigarette, clearly in her element.
The first time she had spoken to Lila was a blur to her, it was in some fancy bar she had happen to run into her. A very impressive lady she was.
Karma was jealous of the Jean Patou outfit Lila was wearing, it was absolutely stunning, it complimented her new Right Hand title.

Hi there miss Lila, Karma greeted Lila. What a great day huh? Karma started with some light small talk and lit up a cigarette.
Congratulations on your promotion! They continued chatting for a while about art and fashion. The new line Coco Chanel had just put on the market was something both women had an interest in.
Karma congratulated Lila again and said her farewell, making her way to SpuffWaffle.

SpuffWaffle had just sat down with a glass of Scotch, she nodded at him politely and walked up to him.

Congratulations Sir! I know my mother would have loved to be present here today, such a great happening! You look absolutely stunning by the way if I may say so.
It's great to see you step in Kimble's footsteps, not many people would have been able to replace such a great men. I've followed your career with interest and again, delighted to see you taking the next step.
I wish you and the Morning Wood Elite all the best and if you're ever in Detroit looking for a fun night out, please contact me. It would be my honour.

She kissed SpuffWaffle on the cheek and left him to it, he was a busy man after all. She hoped he would accept her invitation for a night out in Detroit for some relaxing time….

Whilst in Chicago on business Sho notices a group of people gathered. The man speaking was an old dear friend of his from over many generations. After SpuffWaffle had finished his speech Sho takes one last drag on his cigarette and snuffs it out under his foot. Approaching Mr. Waffle he extends his hand and shakes Spuff's vigorously.

Spuff my dear friend. Many congratulations on your new position as crewleader and also assuming the roll of Underboss in this fine city of Chicago. As I have read in my great Grandfather's journals there is no man better for this position than yourself.

Reaching into his jacket pocket he retrieves a cigar and hands it to Spuff.

This isn't much but its all that I had not knowing I was going to also be witnessing such a joyous occasion while I visit. I must be on my way but again I congratulate you and wish you nothing less than continued success in your ventures.

Sho tips his hat before turning away and fading into the shadows of the buildings of the windy city.

zonrox is looking for spuff, she saw him so busy with his guest and she come over to spuff and kiss him " hey! congratulations my friend!"

<em> Nina_Red rushes into the room and blinks for a few moments until her eyes get used to the darkness. She looks around and sees her new crew leader laughing as he's surrounded by friends and family members. She hesitantly approach him.</em>

I'm sorry to be the last one to congratulate you, but I was after O' Malley in New Orleans.

Anyway. Even though I haven't been in the Morningwood Elite for as much as others, I do feel the same way. I'm honoured to have worked for Kimble and I can't wait to work for you now. It is always sad to see a capable person like Kimble step down but it's encouraging that we have the chance to work under your command and see this family keep thriving and achieving unprecedented success. I can feel the deep emotion of some members and I hope that one day, after I'd have render my services, I'll be regarded as a vital member of this family.

Enough with the talking though! Let's drink!
