Artie had been on a bit of a bad run with the cards when all of a sudden his opponent, feeling like bluffing young Bucco out of his final few bucks, tossed a set of keys onto the pile.

“It’s all I’ve got kid, you can have my business if you win.”

Artie looked at his hand, in all fairness he had no idea what it meant…maybe taking a poker class would have been a better way to spend these bucks rather than jumping in the deep end but here he was.  Looking at a hand of two jacks and a seven, there were a couple of jacks on the table.  Surely this must mean something good.  He tossed the last of his notes onto the pile and put his cards down.  The man looked aghast, he had nothing of any note and sighed.  Artie looked at the dealer who nodded.

“All yours son.”

Artie scooped the pile and stood up.

“What’s the business friend?”

“Ach it’s some pollster place I picked up a while ago.  Makes me no money, you’re welcome to it.”

This was new, cheffing was all he had really known but this could be an interesting sideline. 

He found out the address and found it open, there were some people already inside.  Making some introductions, Artie asked what they were up to.  Turned out it wasn’t a lot, since the last owners had passed away nobody had really bothered with them.

“Let me see if I can’t help with that.  Who is the head guy here.”

A thin man with sideburns, specs and tobacco stained fingers like he had his fingers dipped in turmeric all day raised his hand.

“I’m Amos, chief dataologist.”

Artie had no idea what a dataologist was or did but it sounded fancy.  Together they sat down and cobbled together a badly hastily compiled edition.

“This is it boys, this is a winner!”

Ladies, gentlemen and any non-binary people out there, I would like to welcome you to MobGov…again.  We’re back on the pulse taking, like a stripper dressed up as a nurse.  A fantasy for some and an embarrassment to others!

Me, I’m just a chef about to be mentored by the great Gordon_Ramsay.  I have no idea how I came upon the notion of doing this.

This one has a little competition in it.  Best of luck, if it works it could turn into a regular thing.  In no way is it a bribe to do the survey, that would be unethical and everyone knows that in this life we can be duplicitous, back stabbing power grabbers but we do have a faint ethical code!
