Knightly Karma Started by: Kaitilin_Orv on Oct 22, '20 10:28

Kaitilin had just arrived in Detroit a couple days ago. She had always been fascinated by the city and had promised herself to return once she had resolved her issues in Chicago. And now that she was here, with some money and as part of a loving family, she found herself thinking more and more on starting up another bar. It could be a franchise, she thought. And so she had bought another dusty, building that had plants growing in it, and looked as if the walls would turn to ash as soon as touched. But today, all that was going to change. She had brought in a famed renovator, and she had cleaned up the place a bit.

----

From the outside, it looked like a 90s barbershop. It had a sign on the top that read "Knightly Karma" in bright neon letters. When one enters the inside through the revolving glass door, they are greeted by a bell ring fixed to the doorway. To their right, they would see a mini waterfall and light jazz playing in the background. To their left, an aquarium fixed to the wall. If they walked a bit further, a waitress would welcome them inside, to their tables, after which she would hand them a menu and await their orders.

At the bar, Kaitlin herself will take orders. She loved making and prepping the drinks. It was a skill her own mother had taught her shortly before she died. Customers loved to see owners take up charge in the restaurant and would always chat her up. She loved it. At nights, they would host their very own karaoke bar and on the weekends, there would be a stand up comedy night.

"Welcome to Knightly Karma!"

Svent walked into the establishment, pausing for a second to look at the waterfall and fish in the aquarium, and down the hall. "Table for one." He told the waitress before he was lead to a table. When he sat down the waitress handed him the menu and he looked through it. "I'll take the Chicken Lollipop."

Kaitlin felt happiness as she saw Svent walk in. He had asked for a table of one and she had given him the one right under the skylight. It was a starry night. She momentarily disappeared into the kitchen and came back out with a hot plate of chicken lollipop and kept it in front of Svent.

"Enjoy your meal, sir"

Report Post Tip
Svent took the plate. "Thank you." He said as he looked up through the skylight to see the moon and stars. "A good view with a good meal. Very nice set up you have here."
