Often our internal code can detect if a thread is a copy from another thread, or plagiarized from an outside source, but I do not claim to be a natural language AI genius.  Soooo, sometimes things slip through the cracks (*cough* a lot *cough*).  Traditionally, as we find them we simply remove them or their points, but sometimes they are already populated with some decent replies.  We don't want to hurt the hard work put in by the other members who happen to reply in a thread designed to harvest points and cheat the system - so we have added a new option for our street sweepers.  They can now nuke points from the original poster in the thread, which negates all that they gain in the past and could in the future from this particular thread, as well as earn them negative to offset the ill gotten gains that they benefited from before it was handled on the sweeper side.

If you post in someone elses thread, you will not lose your points, you will continue to benefit from your work, this only touches the author of the thread who plagiarized or copied their same thread over and over and over and over.

The game will insert a little message in the thread so that you know it has been done just in case anyone is curious.
