Good-day, friends and associates. This pamphlet is your guide to the weeks activity in the races and serves to provide you with some insight and thoughts as to how the races unfolded. For those interested in upping their horse-choosing game, there are hints in the analytics which may help you when it comes to how to pick 'em.

Kick off to the Season sees attractive payouts for horse owners

Our highest paying horse after a week of 1 race each has been Damn Dirty Dupe, taking in $1,093,750. A fair mention has to be made for Mark's Man Ship and Falure Pony, taking $656,250 and $650,000 respectively. 

These will be horses to watch in the future, as their performance will evolve as the races go on. Ones to watch who have not yet hit their stride, Whiskey Galore and Godfathers Gun.

The horse market still has some available stock. Earnings are made by way of the amount taken by the book keeper after all winnings are paid out to punters. The excess is divided in a 50/30/20 split.

Race Analytics

Falure Pony's win on the first race in Detroit was not unexpected, but overshadowed the potential of Long Live LA and Daily Hustle, who were both near-perfectly suited to the track and conditions. Had the pair not encountered difficulties in their stride, the result would have been very different. Nag Hattan's determination to advance up the ranks was successful, however also attributed their final position to the struggles of Long Live LA and Daily Hustle. It's worth watching Click Monkey in their next race, as their determination will carry over.

In the second race, Rogue Racer's chance at glory were thwarted by an outstanding performance by Godfathers Gun. Both horses have good historic performances, with Godfathers Gun standing out slightly ahead. However Rogue Racer was exceptionally suited to the Track and Conditions on the day, which pointed towards an easy win. It wasn't to be though, and the Detroit owned equine battled it out, with Godfathers Gun taking first. Hoof Hearted one to watch for their next race, being a fair performer and showing signs of determination on the track, which will carry over. 

The third race had the expected outcome, by the book makers predictions. Damn Dirty Dupe was the favorite to win and did not disappoint. The Philadelphian stallion was a near perfect match for the track and conditions, with excellent race history. Three of this race's horses showed determination in their performances however, one being Mark's Man Ship, who forced itself into third place then took second after being boosted by the Las Vegas home crowd.

In the fourth, an upsetting defeat for Whiskey Galore who it seemed would steal the almost perfect conditions with a great track record. A shock boost made by Don't Stop Refreshing and then home crowd advantage assured her victory though over the Chicagoan, who settled for second place. Little activity from the other horses in this race, however horses like Bootleg Baron and Rumor Has It will be benefitting from their higher place, when compared to a pretty miserable track record so far.

Last and by no means least was race number five. A shock victory was taken by Another Contract, over the favorite for the race, Sling Shot. Horsey McHorseface will be one to avoid for at least one race, having fallen at the start. Outsiders Unsponsored and Midnight Purge also celebrated second and third place, which will improve their performance going into next week.

Performance affecting next races

These first five races set the precedent for these horses in the season. Those that either fell or out performed their peers will see these affects carried over into their next races. Pay close attention to the race history indicators to spot these perks, they are indicated by a coloring system, which is recapped below:

• Boosted - Increased chance of place increase
• Fell - Chance of struggle due to injury in next race

Tournament in the works

This season will consist of several races for each horse. After this time, or sufficient interest has been taken in the races, I will be looking into launching a tournament. The tournament will be executed slightly different to the seasonal races. Changes being:

• Punters will not be placing cash bets, but guessing on the winning horse for free. Points will be awarded on the result, if the chosen horse places first, second or third.
• Prizes will be provided by myself and any contributors, with city hall contribution sought to increase the pot
• The organizer will not be taking bets. Other community members may chose to run bets but house will not, as per terms of the city hall contribution to prize fund
• Horse performance will still payout, however this will be at the end of the tournament, based on overall performance, not individual race

Gordon studies the leaflet closely being the owner of two horses he has a great interest in the endeavour that Jack is running. The leaflet is easy to read and provides adequate information. Gordon just needs his horses to start winning if not then they may end up on a menu near you soon
