*Ace Of Spade jolts up in surprise*

*He lies awake in bed trying to figure out what awoke him*

*About fifteen seconds later Ace's doorbell rings*

"Ugh, not already, what time is it!"

*He groggily gets up to check time*

"3:30? I swear they come earlier and earlier every year, dang it. I really needed some rest after that 12 hour night shift, well better take care of this."

*He puts on a hoodie over his nightshirt and slips on his bunny slippers*

*Approaches the front door moments later and opens the door to his coat closet*

*doorbell sounds again*

"Patience, I'm coming, I'm coming!"

*Ace grabs his 12 gauge that's resting on the top shelf of the closet*

*He throws open the door to see which costume the Trick Or Treater is wearing*

"OHH SHHH"

*Ace's pitiful attempt to gain some more units was thwarted by Gary's razor-sharp claws*

*Intense Gobbling from Gary*

-TRANSLATION- "You think a monster with a 2.5m bounty can't wack back?"

*Gary walks away with Ace's shotgun*

*Pathetic Ace sits up and reaches for where he dropped gun, but instead found an egg in it's place*

"Damn, I should have asked who was there."

*Ace walks back inside, ego damaged, face torn up, and a quarter of a credit poorer*

Happy Halloween Everybody! This is the first time I have tried to write anything, I don't really know what I'm doing but decided to give it a try!

Keep at it. One of the few unknowns I discovered when I first joined this thing is that occasionally I am able to release a creative lever in my head.  Found the more regularly you take on the mantle the easier the juices flow.

Guess I should pull that lever again sometime soon :/
