Michigan's Merry Market Started by: Robert on Nov 23, '20 00:00

The market had been running a few days and while the initial charm had worn off, Robert was still seeing a steady stream of patrons and guests come to shop and play. Santa proved to be a very popular draw and parents shopped while children lined up to tell him their deepest desires. There were a few children who wished for outlandish things but the impact of the depression was still prevalent as many of them wished for shoes, clothing, or even family members to be home for the holiday. For some of the hardest hit families, he took note and gathered contact information from them so that their holiday wishes would come true in the most spectacular way. He might be a mafia man but he had promised long ago to use his influence to impact his community for the good.

He toiled around, greeting each shoppet he saw and poking his head in to the booths to make sure each vendor had what they needed. Nearby he could see heavy equipment putting up a large tree that, while it might not be Rockefeller center, would still prove to be grand. He had put the revenue from the first day into putting up the tree so that he could have a tree lighting ceremony. Throughout the day, workers bustled to and fro to put up lights, ribbon, garland, and ornaments, bedecking the tree in glamorous fashion. He was sure to send out fliers to each patron at the market as well as the surrounding homes and shops so that the ceremony would be spectacular.

Report Post Tip

After landing his spin he barely had a second to react as the kids nearly knocked Ivy completely over. Just barely catching her and helping her get balanced again he quickly began to head to the nearest pile of snow. Grabbing a fist full of snow to form the perfect snowball before starting his pursuit. Once he got within reached he whipped the snowball at one of the kids pegging him right in the head. The impact of kid hitting ice could be heard from the other side of the rink and if it wasn't then the screaming for mom would alert any and all. Gasping himself he retreated back to Ivy so the two could make their escape into the crowd. It was time to ditch the krampus outfit if they were to evade the heat.

Now wandering around Taylor had a real craving for the chili after seeing so many others indulging. Approaching the stand he orders enough to feed a village, "You hungry hon?" he asks Miss PoisonIvy
