Settle The East or West? - Part II Started by: _Issei_ on Nov 23, '20 17:44

Issei was tense, if so the problem with the East was growing, so much so that he had yet to involve the gunrunning business. It had been a while but recently, his time in New York had distracted him, so much so that he had barely glanced at Grayfia in the last few weeks, his thoughts consumed with that of a different woman entirely. One he wasn't afraid to embrace or to let her know that she knew him, moreso than any of his recent soldiers and key lieutenants.

His seat was close to being usurped, with the recent grumblings due to the times he went out East, it affected morale back home. People didn't like his current nature, the way he was acting, they didn't believe it was fitting of him and his standards, what he was setting up for himself here.

They didn't even realize he had changed, there was none of them, except Kiba that understood him, it was a time where he would not reserve his judgement for the man. One that understood him above all the others, he was the good one in this bunch of apples, it was nice to have one that had a respect for his process.

"The Himejima clan is going to be the one that leads this deal, we know this much but what comes next is a matter of our importance, how we deal and process it, it'll be a key moment from here, can you agree with that Issei?"

Humming to Kuisha, she was also one of the few that had not totally switched to the side of the rebels but understood that his attention to the homefront was slowly weaning, moreso that this Magnolia person played a key role in all this, it wasn't something that Kuisha was totally against but she had to wonder, just what was going on with the crimson dragon of late?

He was a different man, one that seemed to change each time with his trips to new york and for the better, she had yet to know but she could not wait to see what it brought to their table.

"Akeno is a loyal person, to us as a group and a faction that can protect against the ruling motions of the Yakuza back home. She should be able to follow what is coming, the true intentions lay behind the current heads of the organization. Aogiri, Jiro, and one other person that I can't recall, maybe due to that position being more of a proxy seat for the other clans, the elders as they were called."

Leaning forward, he met the eyes of his closest circle, Kiba, Grayfia, Kuisha, and Asia. All three had decided to vacate Gremory with him, it was a decision that did not come lightly, yet Issei knew, this would be one time where the plays did not end. Sirzechs and Riasora would no doubt get their revenge.

Kiba gave his leader a small smirk, one that didn't settle him, in fact, it seemed that Kiba disagreed here. At least where Akeno was certainly concerned, his place in the circle made it very clear that this was different from the usual. Issei was not someone who allowed for his people to keep their thoughts on business to themselves, giving the man a simple nod, gesturing for him to voice his opinion.

Coughing slightly, Kiba stumbled towards the cabinet of liquor turning his head to face his boss for a small moment as he addressed with no small amount of playfulness in his tone.

"Akeno is loyal to a single thing and that is you, Issei. I wonder how some others would see the fascination she has you, a desire to hold and dominate you. She is someone that cannot handle being the one that is the submissive here, it's a classic turnaround here, once you were the one that needed the help, now she has come here, is answering to you. Just what happens then, brother? There is a question that needs to be answered here and that is, can we trust her with our business without letting it become a self-serving entity?"

Tilting his head, Issei bowed his head knowing that could certainly be the case here, yet he knew that it would certainly be different. So bowing his head, he knew he had to come to a decision, yet he already knew the choice, becoming something like this, it would settle his problem.

"We move with the deal. I'll talk to Akeno, from this moment, we settle the deal in the west with our Eastern partners."

And it was there the surprise came, no one expected Issei to move with the deal. So what would happen next, would his time in New York come to an end? Little did they know, the next little shifts within Issei, how he would begin to move as a piece on the board. They would realize that this play would suit him well...

And his time in New York would not yet come to an end, in fact, it would be where the next phase would begin....
