Prelude: Easy Hits, Easy Gets.

Leo was an Earner making his way through this thing of ours like any other member. He did his deals in alley ways and would run by the bar every now and then for a meet and greet to extort the business and score some drugs within the family. He thought no one else had any idea what he did when he wasn't under the watchful eye of his crewleader Tony.

And why should he? Leo was quite the stealthy guy. Not exactly the sweetest man you'd ever meet, he'd smacked around a prostitute or two, but he knew how to conduct business outside of any system; including the mafia. He was careful. Maybe even a little too careful; you could even say borderline paranoid. He once shot and killed a small time thug from reflex after seeing him put his hand in his jacket. Thinking the thug knew to always put his product in a briefcase, Leo in a quick frenzy of his paranoia thought this kid might be working for a higher up and found some skeletons in his closet. It was probably his biggest mistake and the only reason for his downfall.

Why? Because at this moment, we see Leo is just waking up, sitting on a chair, tied up in an office with duct tape on his mouth.

Leo strains to open his eyes. His head hurts like hell, and he feels something cold and sticky dripping down the side of his face. He tries to move his hands to wipe it off and see what it is, but he can't move. Even his legs are tied down. In the background he can hear the low mumble of commotion and music not far away. His eyes finally adapt, and the picture in front of him becomes clear. Right away, his heart starts to race.

He squirms around, but the rope is too tight and instead he mumbles again in pain. He looks down and realizes his clothes have all been stripped down to his knickers.

" Finally, you're awake. That bat to the head really knocked you on your ass. For such a reputation, I didn't expect you to be so damn scrawny", the voice chuckles. It was a high tone, as Leo noted, he could easily tell it was a woman. Many things ran through his head but they all ran into each other in a frenzy like a swarm of rats discovered by an exterminator. He tried to reply but all that came out was a mumble under the tape.

" No, you don't get to talk yet. First, I'm going to explain why you're here. Next I'll explain how. Then you will get your chance to finally be useful to someone besides yourself", the voice proclaimed calmly. Finally, the figure stood up and walked in front of what seemed to be a desk. The light over head fell on the front of the body of his captor. She had long black hair with bangs that framed her exquisite light grey eyes, and a slender body that fit like a clove in her custom suit. She held a confident stance, but then leaned over to eye level with Leo. He could smell her sweet pea perfume as it wafted into the air when she moved.

" You poor little worm. For every precaution you took, you just couldn't tone down that little brain of yours. Seems to me like you never slowed down enough to see that your impulsiveness was a liability to the way you operate. Don't you worry, I'm not some Boss trying to bust your ass for stealing his drugs for your own profit or some riff raff like that. In fact you may not even remember who I'm soon to question about. But I'll make sure you do", she smirks and stares into the depths of Leo's beady brown eyes. As she stands upright again she looks away seemingly contemplating, and picks up a shiny object from the desk beside her. It gleams in the light and Leo finally realizes what it is.
A scalpel. She twirls it in her fingers when she begins to speak again. Leo feels like he's about to have a heart attack, and starts to shake involuntarily from fear. He can feel sweat slip down his neck, and the salt stings the apparent wound on his head.

" A long time ago, you were pushed into this thing of ours because of your poverty and continued petty crimes. When you were finally sweeped up like a piece of trash into a family, right before it was official, you made one last 'off the record' hit. For old times sake I presume, but that last hit was your death wish little worm", she grins as she turns and flips the scapel, pointing it at him at arms length. The gleam shines in her face suddenly giving her lovely eyes a ghostly, deranged effect.

" You. The night you slaughtered the couple in Suite 203 at the Entrerprise hotel, you robbed them of their valuables and left a trail of blood and savagery in your wake. But you weren't thorough, little worm. For under the master bed a little girl of 9 years sat quietly crying to herself, wishing she could scream as a pool of crimson colored liquid crept towards her from the body of her bullet ravaged mother.", her face had fallen into a look of disgust and Leo's eyes widened as she stuck the scalpel into the desk with a loud slam. Leo's involuntary shaking had stopped. Instead he sat completely frozen, his muscles tense with adrenaline. "But you dropped something trying to carry all that loot, Tony."

The woman pulled out a worn and faded piece of folded yellow note paper. She unwravels it and shows it to Tony, who reads the faded pen marks that depict a list of apartments, suites, and homes with dates and times. Several were scratched out, indicating a hit, including Suite 203. His name was scribbled at the bottom under "Easy hits, easy gets, hope you rot in hell you twits!". After insuring he had time to realize what was on the page she shoved it in his face. It crumpled and fell into his lap while he moaned in pain.

Returning to a calm, sweet manner, she continued.
" That
is why you're here. Now for the how", she smiled.
"
It was quite a lot easier than I anticipated. The only hard part was finding out who and where you were in the first place, and the thug you killed a while back was the key. When I saw his name in the obituary, it seemed off because there was no real explanation. The police tipped it off as another drug deal gone wrong on the streets of St Louis, but that didn't make any sense. The heroin the thug was holding was left on his body, so what kind of trash would kill a man and flee without his product?"

She glared at Leo. Her eyes penetrated his soul, and he felt his own start to water. Leo was on the verge of crying.
You are that kind of trash Leo Benessi. You psyched yourself out, killed him, and fled without thinking. Your impulsiveness never fails to disgust me.
She pulled the scalpel out of the desk with little effort and walked around the chair Tony was sitting in. She stood behind him and laid her hands on his dirty shoulders.

"After months of digging and authorization to look through confidential family records I found your jail history. I went through every fuck that was put in jail within weeks of that thug's death. I knew that if someone was careless enough to leave that heroin behind they were bound to screw up again quickly. And I was right."

The woman took the scalpel to the tape on Tony's lips and gently cut it open. Tony gasped and breathed heavily through the slit and spit in the direction of her hand. She quickly slugged him in the side of the head and with a yelp he shut him mouth, and breathed through his large nose. He cringed and sweat dripped off his face onto the floor.
" Shut the fuck up you pathetic ape. Your name was the last one on the list and I want you to know how my heart fleeted when I gazed at the word B-E-N-N-E-S-S-I. It was a win-win. Whack the stupid fuck who risked exposure to a family of St Louis, and steal back from the trash who stole everything from me. Tell me the name of the couple from 203!"

She digs the scalpel into his shoulder and pulls it through the skin and muscle. His screams echoed off the walls and blood fell to the floor in ounces. Tony squirmed to get loose but it was useless. He moaned and cried that he couldn't remember.

"Bullshit. I'm sure you saw MY name on plenty of the shit that you stole from me when you robbed me of my life, you fuck. Alesia. A-L-E-S-I-A. Remember now?!", burst out of her mouth before she dug the scalpel, this time, into the side of his cheek. Tony flailed around again and through the high pitched yells Alesia heard "locket". She stopped and took a napkin out of her pocket to wipe the scalpel of the blood.

"Now we're getting somewhere, little worm. Now what were you saying? Locket?", she walked around in front of Tony and smiled.

Tony's voice cracked while he repeated in between breathes, "The.. locket. Rosethorn.. You're name was in the locket as Alesia Rosethorn.. Fuck I thought that was the womans name I didn't know they had a kid!"

Alesia pauses and mouths the word Rosethorn, then quickly looks at Tony.
"
Thanks, Bennessi. You're real informative. I'll be sure to let your boss know that when I report to him that you've been dealth with", Alesia leaned in real close, right by Tony's ear and whispered, "I hope you rot in hell, you twit", and she giggled.

She stood up, pulled out a handgun, shoved it in his ear and *click, boom*.

Alesia brushed off some of the Tony bits that flew on her and walked just outside of the office door.
"Let the Family know it's done, then come in here and clean up. I've got some reasearch to do"
she whispered to the bodyguard standing by the door.
