What is the temperature of this custard, Tammy? I'm now quite invested.

Tammy blushed and looked down, dipping her finger deep into the bowl, making the custard overflow the edge of the bowl. Slowly she pulled her finger out as she sought renewed eye-contact with Don JackMezzo.

The perfect temperature to start spooning, Mister Mezzo..

she replied with a small nod. She stepped towards JackMezzo and offered him the bowl of custard.

Dihajh Listened to Duck explain his reasons for delaying the result.

After listening and hearing that there may be a free bowl of custard he felt extra excited at the chance of winning a prize and his excitement rose.

Firstly I have to apologize for the delay in announcing the winners. Due to some personal/family issues we had to take a small hiatus from judging. But we are back now and I'm happy to announce that all winners have been paid out! 

For our first competition the winners are:

Tammy clapped from a small distance, not wanting to interfere with the official ceremony. She had done her homework, though. On the table behind her stood three bowls of custard. Each of them had a spoon in it. As she heard the name of the first winner, Tammy couldn't help but smile. Mister JackMezzo, not only a renowned writer, but also a man known for his sophisticated appetite for custard, was elected as the first winner.

She clapped and waited for Don Mezzo to come out of the ceremony, offering him a large bowl of custard.

Given the moment I put it here, it's viscosity, the wind speed and the temperature, if I am correct, the temperature now should be at 67ºC. Which is just too hot to eat, I suppose, but as you probably can't spoon it now anyway, with the Fairest Writing Competition Head Prize in your other hand, I am sure you will find at just the right temperature to eat when you find a place to do so.

Tammy smiled. The winner of the second first prize was announced. Tammy clapped for RosaliaOrazia. She would have taken her hat off for her if she would have worn one, but as she didn't, she calmly waited and handed the Sicilian lady her side-prize.

As Dihajh came out of the hall, Tammy excused herself..

Excuse me.. I really enjoyed your cheerful mutilation of that terrible Christmas Song. As the chairlady, and only member, of the board of the waitress literature society of custard appreciators, we.. I.. have unanimiously decided I would like to offer you..

Tammy stopped speaking and handed Dihajh a bowl of her best custard so far, too. Complete with small taste-sensational clumps.

I've never won first place in anything in my life, and this is surely no exception. I've also never won second place ever in my life, so that's a really nice change of pace going forward. Does this mean I'm finally ready to take the leap as a top three writing competition competitor? Who knows, all I know is that I will proudly wear this silver medal I made for myself on the off chance I finished in second.

Places the crudely made medal around his neck and does a sort of karate chop against the air to signify success.
