I was thinking, with the BG problem, instead of lowering the amount of cash or whatever, they just ste a bg limit.

NOT a limit per rank, but just like a limit of 100 or 150 BG's at any time.

I don't know how hard this would be to code, but I'm assuming that since it's for all ranks, not just a certain limit per rank, it should be of moderate difficulty to code this in.

I think that I've seen suggestions such as this posted up before, but I don't think any have that are exactly like this.

i do agree that bodyguards should be limited, however i am sure its been debated before i was under the impression there was already a limit but i have been away for a wile and with the increase of insanley well protected characters i assume i am wrong.

in reality someone wouldnt have 150bodyguards arround them protecting them at any one time.

I don't believe there is currently a limit. I have personally and privately argued in the past that there should be a limit of perhaps 100 BGs per person, as I believe that would return the game to the more normal state that it was intended for and increase the overall product.

Concerns that a BG limit would unbalance the game due to high wack levels are unfounded. The very fact that someone has a more normal amount of bodyguards, and are statistically more vulnerable, would provide that balance.

I should also add that due to my conversations on this in the past I believe , unless a near-miracle occurs, this change will not be implemented by the administration.

If we limit the BG's then should we also limit the amount of kills you can get?

I mean then the bg limit wouldnt matter, basically saying. If having (let say) 200 Kills would allow you to hit anyone with the max amount of BG's, then there is no guess work. you get your 200 kills and wait for something bad to happen. Mean while those that have the max amount of BG's are helpless against anyone with a 200 kill gun or better.

For the record the numbers are just made up for the sake of consistancy with the story

I had a fairly long post typed up for this, but there is no point.

A change like this couldn't be implemented upon a live game. The administration have heard and dismissed all arguments, however factually supported, in favour of reinstating a limit on bodyguards.

I will just register my support behind such a change and would happily flesh out a suggestion if it was to be considered.

You really cant set a limit at this point in time because those who already have more BGs than what would be the set limit wouldnt stand for their BGs to be removed. This has been highly debated a few times already and alot of people got heated about potentially losing their invested monies.
