For me Christmas is a celebration of cheese, it’s the only time of year you get a decent selection of cheeses at home. We have on the table:- Munster-gérome; Stilton; Scottish Highland Brie; Camembert; Vacherin Mont-d'O; Stinking Bishop; Scottish Cheddar; Truffle Gloucester; Plus, assorted charcuterie. Goes down extremely well with a glass of wine. |

Red wine I hope? Had a lovely camembert on Boxing day, 30 minutes in the oven - bosh. I've had too much Mexican cheddar cheese this Christmas - think that's my favourite or chilli cheese - something with a bit of a kick. |

I can't say I've ever had any of the more exotic cheeses! But it sounds delightful! |

They all sound very good. Nothing beats a cheese and charcuterie board with a glass of red wine. I would really like to try Sticking Bishop. It sounds very interesting. |

Yes to all the cheese. The last round we bought were Yancy's Fancy flavors out of New York. Steakhouse Onion and the Horseradish ones are my favorites, there's soooo many good ones though. Wasabi, Buffalo Wing, Ghost Pepper, Champagne etc etc |

So I love pecan pie, pumpkin pie, and peppermint bark. However, my mom started making all kinds of sweet breads, like banana, cranberry, walnut... combine it with a nice cup of coffee and that's certainly my new favorite this year. |

Enjoy snacking and Christmas time is in hyper mode. More the same of everything but more cinnamon flavor and nutmeg (which they say is good for you) maybe not surrounded by so much sugar |

| Peppermint bark has been mentioned a couple of times. Sounds interesting. I dont recall seeing this before and I’m sure we don’t get that in the UK. | |

Christmas definitely needs a fruit cake. We have it at almost all Christmases. Had a bunch of other cakes this time as well. An assortment of cupcakes and a rum cake. Yup I do love my cakes. |

Dunno if it’s a tradition for other countries as well but it’s said that if you’ve got 12 types of round fruits on New Years Eve, you’re going to have 12 months of luck and prosperity for the coming year. So lots of oranges, grapes, pomelos, cherries, etc lying around the house this time of year for us! |

Crackers with garlic butter are a good go-to I think, plus any type of assortment of meats and cheeses. Don't ask me which meats and cheeses though |

I've never really been a cheesy kind of gal. I mean, I like it and eat it, but wouldn't go looking for any special cheese. At work a few weeks ago I tasted garlic cheese for the first time...I've not stopped thinking about it since. It was a specialist cheese from a local farmer but next year its all I'm going to eat! |

In Poland they do like 12 dishes, but no meat and stuff, only fish. Some weird tradition, but tradition nonetheless. But in general super nice, big starter, then soup, main course, another main, deserts... Dear lawd a lot of calories :D |

Christmas snacks of a middle aged men consist of heavy greasy meat and cold iced beer. There's also fruitcake. All fruits that are round and in different colors in the amount of 12 representing the 12 months in a year. All cuisine that are long to wish for long life, such as spaghetti, noodles, miswa, lomi. |

Usually all year round you can never find gingerbread cookies, which are my favorite hands down. I wish it was more, maybe not "acceptable" but places actually baking/selling gingerbread during the year, rather than just around christmas time lol. gingerbread and a nice cider is a wonderful treat. Not a fan of cheese myself but I could see the appeal. |
