Herbert strolled through the streets as he so often enjoyed doing when they were painted red as they were today. “What a day to be alive,” he thought to himself, “especially considering so many others can’t say the same.” Obvious to some however, he was not on the streets purely for enjoyment. As it was, he was on a mission from Don Lilith to deliver some news. She couldn’t make the appointment herself because she was in the middle of a little delivery of her own in the form of a balling babbling bundle of joy. Certainly messier work than what had happened recently.  

Thinking he better get to it Herbert found the soap box he had left in the street some days earlier. Looking down and noticing it wasn’t all to dusty he smiled a bit as he stepped up and cleared his throat to get the attention of the passersby.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Ladies and Gentleman. Can I have your attention Puh-lease…. As I am sure many of you are already aware Chicago has recently become vacant due to recent events. And, as you might already be thinking, it will not remain vacant for long. Before I say anything about that though, I want to offer my condolences to the fallen. We all know that death is just a part of life in this thing of ours and I can say that those who are no longer with us lived and died with honor as true mafiosi. They will be remembered with honor and their kin will be welcomed here on these shores for generations to come.

Now, onto business. Shortly Don Lilith will be moving her operation to The Loop, Chicago from our home here in the Bronx. Chicago is a great city that has a deep history. Why, my ancestors wrote of a time when Chicago had 5 districts and two Twin Peaks stood in the west that could be seen for miles. There was once even a day that the Windy City we all know and love had a Prom Committee that held the best sock hop these shores have ever seen. We’re not here to talk about the past though. There’s many a business opportunity in Chicago and we want to head out and give it a go. As well as Lilith moving from the Bronx, Wendigo will also be coming with us to take over a district as will Saanvi. I am sure each of them will have some words to say on this point so I’ll keep I brief other than giving my congratulations to both. The move is well deserved.

Now then, I am not one known for being long winded after I’ve said my piece so I think I’ll keep up that tradition and leave things at that. Everyone please have a nice day, and a happy new year.

With that Herbert steps down and hails a town car, quickly jumping into the back. You see Herbert say a few words to the driver before it begins to putter off in the direction of the local hospital.
