Approaching Town Hall, JenBarber walked up a few of the steps to make a speech to the public. She gave the nod towards the town crier to start ringing his bell to gather peoples attention. As the crowds gathered, she began to speak...

"Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen. I am here out of courtesy, not because I have to be. I am here to discuss the events yesterday, of the war on Chicago. This will not be a lengthy speech as it is rather straight forward. Unlike my town crier who caught your attention with his large bell, I am not here to give you some lengthy speech with bells and whistles added to it. So here goes.." she says as she looked around the crowds of people listening.

"I am here on behalf of my Godfather Giyu, New York Leaders and on behalf of the Leaders of Philidelphia. It is common knowledge the two cities worked together yesterday in the removal of Chicago. We are aware that there would be the kin of the deceased walking around wondering what happened, for their parents to lose their lives. 

I would first like to say that this wasn’t personal or specific to Godmother Dawn or anyone else residing in Chicago. Godmother Dawn had been a good leader to her family and provided an opportunity to many. 

The reason for the takedown is simply because we, New York and Philidelphia, wanted to expand our criminal empires and felt that Chicago was the perfect place to do so. We as New York and Philadelphia have very strong ties to Las Vegas and Detroit, so when deciding on the city to expand into Chicago was the obvious choice. It was purely business. As always, decisions like these in what to do is never easy."

Jen took a deep breath and allowed a few minutes to pass. Letting people absorb what was said. She didn't like standing there giving out the information of the recent war but knew some would've like some explanation. A few minutes went by and she continued to speak...

"Having said all that, I am also here to point out that those who have moved Chicago, as you may have already noticed are: Don @Lilith in The Loop - Don @Wendigo In South Side and as for North Side, a new auth from Phillidephia Consigilere Saanvi. 

I wish all three of them the very best in their endeavours."

Jen looked around the crowds once more before finishing off her speech "Thank you all for your time, I appreciate it!" she said as she nodded back to the town crier to ring his bells to signal the end. She walked down the steps from the town hall and headed towards home. Relieved it was done. 

The truth for a change. Very rare and very good! 

Rain had been waiting in the courtyards which seemed like forever hoping someone would step forward and let the masses know what caused her mother and Chicago’s death. She didn’t just get off the boat and land on these shores but was a part of the old New Orleans organization.  She just trying to get connected here and handle her mother’s affairs.  She finally see’s JenBarber start to speak, stood there listening until she had her say. When she had finished Rain approached her.

 Thank you for coming out and sharing the truth. My name is Rain and I am the daughter of Dawn.  Not to get anything twisted, I am not here butthurt nor looking for any type of revenge, Dawn had a good life.   Looking through Dawn’s journal and from things I’ve been told, I had no doubt in my mind that this was the case .   History has taught us that peace don’t last always. 

MS JenBarber it was very nice meeting you and I thank you for clearing the air for me.  At least now I know I didn’t miss something and she had really fucked up.

Rain turned to walk away mumbling.   All this fucking talk about peace, rules of the land and being different from past regimes is always wishful thinking. This is the way of life here, don’t get it twisted.
