The last of the customers were hurdled out the front doors of Selfridges, meanwhile in a back room an important ceremony was taking place.

A collection of the Philadelphia underworld had come to bear witness to the rise of the new Godfather. Since the revolution had swept the old power away Don Asher had been leading the family that was Philadelphia and most in the know were clear that it was the whole city that was a family. A tight knit group of people who over time had come to love and respect each other and pledge themselves loyal to the family and the ideals it upheld.

Most still remembered the dark days before, where the old guard would sit in their ivory towers, only deigning to come down to kill their own family members if they felt they got too old or powerful.

But that time had passed and in its place organised crime in Philadelphia had flourished. The city was home to many high status individuals, money flowed into the pockets of mafioso across the land, business was good.

The city as a whole were to thank for that success but there was one man leading this charge, and now, as his friends, fellow leaders and family gathered round to proclaim him their Godfather, his Consigliori stood and held a glass in his shaking hand.

Hunching over a little due to his frail, ancient frame Toaly spoke in his quiet mumbling way hoping to call attention to himself above the hubbub and excitement

"My friends, team mates, compatriots, business partners. Here we are, the road was long and we had some bumps along the way. But let us be clear, this is all of our victory tonight. The great man finally becomes what he has always been to us:- our boss, our leader, our Godfather."

Toaly raised his glass

"To Asher, someone who I have watched grow through the years and couldn't be more proud in this moment."

Toaly stooped and kissed the hand of the new Godfather. Then walked back to his seat, as he sat back down he thought of all the work that had gone in to make this moment possible. He couldn't help himself beaming with delight......a job well done.

Tony walked into the room for the celebration of Godfather-Chairman Asher. Spotting the Selfridges upper structure had already arrived.

I would first like to congratulate a great friend of ours, Asher, you have worked so hard to make Philadelphia what it is today and I allow myself to speak on behalf of every member of Philly in thanking you for everything you have done for us. Great things are coming up in philly and I am so glad I was able to do it along with you guys. I would also like to thank Toaly and Nala for all the work they have done by Asher side. You guys have also done a great job which is unfortunately too often underrated in this thing of ours but your work and loyalty has made this city what it is today!

Tony grabs a bottle of blue label JohnnyWalker which he gifts to the new Godfather-Chairman along with the typical boosta given at most italian formal events.

Asher, this toast is for you! In italian tradition we simply say Cent’Anni which means 100 years wishing you best of luck and Auguri meaning best wishes. Salute!

Velvet walks in dressed in her best attire she purchased what seems like a life time ago from this very store, listening to the heart felt speeches of a victorious moment reminiscing of her time she worked at the front of the shop before Asher recruited her to work behind the scenes. Glasses were clinking, cigars lit, people gathered near and far.

Spotting the brand new Godfather-Chairman Asher with people  surrounding him giving their congratulations, toasting  all becoming very Merry, a smile washed over her face as she saw Tony_Alacchi  being given the nod to extend the business beside Asher.

Waiting for her turn she approaches Asher Meekly with a box of High Quality Cigars in hand. "Congratulations, it has been absolutely amazing seeing you achieve such a milestone in this life.."  glancing over at the beaming old man Toaly and beautiful Nala whom was in her element

"They really are something hey? You chose well and I can tell they are nothing short then proud of who you have become and how you have transformed this city, Congratulations once more"  she nods handing him his gift and takes her leave to the bar.

Harison enters the back room of Selfridges for the much-anticipated celebration of Asher 's ascension to Godfather-Chairman of Philadelphia, wearing his finest (and only) tuxedo.

As he gets a drink from the bar and lights a cigar he's been saving for quite some time for this occasion, Harison takes a moment to reflect on his time in Philly...

Ever since he was a young child (some may say he is a still a young child), he has been treated with nothing but respect by Asher and the other great members of the city.   The camaraderie in the city, fostered in a large part by Asher 's leadership, is like no other in this world he is sure.   This came as no surprise to him after reading his father's journals following his unfortunate death.  Harison's father had nothing but kind words for the city of Philly and it's members as well.

After a few minutes, Harison approaches his boss and hands over a bottle of Dom Pérignon to commemorate the occasion...

"Godfather-Chairman Asher, first of all I want to wish you my heartfelt congratulations for your achievement.   You are most deserving of the honor and I'm sure will bring great honor to the title and others that have held the position before you.   I also want to thank you.   Thank you for being a great boss, leader, and friend.   I am lucky to serve this great city of yours and look forward to doing so for a long time."

With that, Harison tips his hat and makes his way to the bar for a refill.

Congratulations this was so deserved you have built a great city 

Takkar stood silently at the back of the room, watching the ceremony unfold before him. One by by the well wishers approached Asher to congratulate him. A few minutes later, after taking a sip from the glass of champagne in his hand, he moved past a few of the guests and walked up to Asher.

"Congratulations Godfather," he said quietly, smiled at Asher and continued. "I am proud to be a part of this great city we have built together," he gestured at the guests present in the room. "We have come a long way since the revolution and with your guidance and leadership, Philly has soared to new heights. May we continue this success in the coming years and may you live to a ripe old age godfather," with that he raised his glass and added, "To Asher."

Smash was propping up the bar raising his glass in awe of one of his greatest friends taking the title he rightfully deserves.

Smash puts his drink down on the nearest table and takes a walk towards the new Godfather Chairman, Asher brings up his hand for a handshake but Smash goes in for a hug, it may not be the done thing with a GFC  but Smash could not be happier seeing such a deserving person taking the official role.

''I am so grateful to be able to work along side you and with this great city of Philadelphia, it has become such an amazing place with some truly amazing people under your lead"

Smash tips his hat as to not take anymore of the big bosses time seeing all the people looking to congratulate him. 

The applause was tremendous, rousing, and genuine. Jack beat his hands together with the rest of the crowd and blew a piercing whistle over the sound of the cheer. As the moment came to an end, he lifted his drink and raised it in recognition of Asher's achievement.

"Godfather, witnessing the city grow under your diligent watch has been an experience which many will remember for generations. My blood has walked these streets for years, during that time the moment has been highly coveted when two individuals, who have never before crossed paths, do so and a great bond is immediately formed.

"I am proud to work for you, in the city of Philadelphia, under the circumstances to which your rule came to pass. Salut, Godfather Asher, here's to the future of the old city and her districts."

Mezzo tipped his head toward the man, then yelled over the heads of the crowd.

"Speech!"

NathanExplosion stepped forward to Asher and also raised his glass in a toast of honor.

"Godfather, it has been a pleasure working with you and getting to know you over these past few months. Despite having not known you prior, I had a good feeling about you as Jim was so enamored with you. He is generally a strong judge of character, and this case appears to be no different. You have impressed many and made those like Jim who believed in you at the beginning very proud. Always remember this day and hold it true in your heart. But never forget that our work continues, on this day, and all days to come.

Congratulations to you, and long may you and Philadelphia prosper!"

He raised his glass again and joined JackMezzo in calling out for a speech from the guest of honor.

Before Asher could fulfill his adoring fans' request of giving a speech, Kaya approached him silently and tapped him on the shoulder for a brief moment with him alone. "Congratulations, Godfather-Chairman Asher. Philadelphia is a city of honor, grit, and loyalty -- it's only right that it has a leader that embodies all of those qualities and more. You've guided the city through the most difficult of times without breaking a sweat and have given us an example of what a great leader is. It's been an honor seeing how you and Philly have progressed over the years and an even bigger pleasure serving and working alongside you during that time. Thank you for building a community that we will never be ashamed to be a part of, a city that will be remembered fondly for ages to come."

She handed him a box of cigars with a white calla lily boutonnière on top. "The cigars are from Takkar -- he searched far and wide for the best ones in the world and found these, but forgot them in my purse on the way here. And this is from me," Kaya said with a small smile as she plucked the boutonnière from atop the box and pinning it in place on his left lapel. "Now you look dapper as ever and ready to face the crowd that's eagerly waiting for you." Stepping back to give him and his outfit one last glance, Kaya flashed Asher a smile and a nod of approval before turning to rejoin the party.

Ever since Asher was a little boy he had heard tales of many great leaders over the years and wanted one day to reach the rank of GodFather and follow in their footsteps.

The day had finally come, it had seemed like an eternity but the wait was finally over. Asher had his tuxedo picked out weeks ago, it was pressed and ready to wear. 

As Asher walks in to the Selfridges HQ he is greeted by all of his friends. You could see the smile on his face a mile away, he had been waiting for some time and was so proud to be wearing the title.

Asher taps his glass to get the crowds attention and begins to clear his throat

“Friends it gives me great pleasure standing in front of you all today, as many of you know this is something I have wanted for some time. I imagine a lot of you were expecting a huge speech about the revolution or the progression of Philadelphia, but I stand here today humbled. There are moments in our lives when you find out who your friends are. I want to thank everyone that has helped me along this journey and to all that have come out today to support me. Building this city has been a fantastic experience and it’s given me the opportunity to meet and make long lasting friends”

Asher raises his glass “I would like you all to join me in raising a toast to friendship. There are good ships and there are wood ships, the ships that sail the sea. But the best ships, are friendships and may they always be."

Following the toast Asher joins his friends to continue with the celebration 

A little late to the celebration, which wasn't out of the ordinary, Belle quietly slipped into an empty seat next to other members of the Selfridges Group. Brushing her hair back and trying to compose herself, she listens to the new Godfather - Chairman of Philly speak.

As Godfather Asher finished his toast, Belle stood up to speak to the CEO.

"Asher, CEO and now Godfather, it has been a pleasure working for you. Your commitment to Philly and desire to make us all as one really shines through. Thank you for offering me a place within the Selfridges family and encouraging myself and the rest to really focus on what our goals are. You have supported us all and continue to do so. I know I'm not the only one in this room who will support you until the very end."

PIcking up her glass, she raises it to the Godfather.

"A toast you you, Asher. Godfather looks good on you. I know you will continue to do great things for the city. Cheers!"
