Time for a strange subject, folks. Do you or do you not believe that there is a Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti thing out in the mountains/forests?

I personally think anything is possible, but I extremely doubt it. With technology the way it is, I feel like we would have found it by now.

What do you all think?

I think there is probably a lot of things we don't really want to know or think about. This probably falls under it. But I think there is a lot of things out there we probably pass off as myth that might exist. I mean after all people believe in God, surely this is not a far stretch?

I think technology is only as powerful as our imaginations. If we generally consider something to not be real, there is a smaller portion of the population who will pursue any sort of investigation. On the other hand, the combined power of our intelligences can be truly quite staggering. Case in point, when the collective "internet" takes an issue and rolls with it.

This is something that I think would be pretty cool if they really existed but I'm more of a scientific person. There's just not enough proof that they exist for me. Now don't get me wrong, I definitely think that there are things out there we don't know about or haven't discovered yet, most of which are in the oceans but bigfoot... eh...

I personally don't think there is one. I feel like it's a guy in a monkey suit. All of this started when we lacked the technology to really survey the area. Now, we have satellite imagery that can show a guy pissing in a lake clearly, from space. Not only that, we can do it with night vision and infrared as well. I'm pretty sure, if there was one, we would have found it by now.

In this day and age with cameras and satellites basically everywhere its hard to believe the mythical creatures exist anywhere on the earth. The sea mythical creatures however, that's a different story, most of the ocean is unexplored, so anything could really be down there

Also MrChaChaSlide, i was watching the Les Shroud Bigfoot series when I asked this question lol. I, too, am ready to write it off.

Very interesting point about the ocean from Madoka and Magnolia. I am very interested in a future where we can explore the deepest depths with clear 4k video. It sounds so interesting to me.
 

I have a coworker who listens to some podcast about finding sasquatch or something like that. She plays it every Wednesday night while we do inventory counts and some of the stuff that is said is rather interesting but rather difficult to wrap your head around. 

I have a hard time believing in Bigfoot or Sasquatch for some reason. I actually would like to believe in those creatures and all the other ones but I can’t get over how bizarre it is that they have evaded the public eye for so long. I have heard stories of how people are very offended if you don’t believe in the creatures but never met someone like that personally. I think it would be cool to be honest if they did exist but I am not entirely sure they do. 
 

if they did exist I wonder how different they would be to humans and chimps. I wonder if they would think and reason or if they would be purely aggressive or passive creatures. I am posting this not because I really care but I am fulfilling my daily hustle. If you’re reading this Thankyou. I am more interested in the extraterrestrial to be honest I think those are real 

I could only hope that Bigfoot, Yeti or Sasquatch was really out there, hell even the Loch Ness monster would be something of value. The rational side of my brain knows they can't possibly exist, but there's the other side that just hopes they really do and the wonders these types of creatures could uncover, maybe even show more unheard of links in the humanity evolution chain

Till we get concrete proof of the existence of bigfoot, sasquatch, lochness monster etc, I'm not gonna believe in them. Is there a possibility that some of these creatures might exist? Sure. But without any evidence so far I'd have to say with 99.99% probability that they do not exist. We have the technology to scan almost all corners of the earth so we should have found them by now if they existed. 

I think it's possible but highly unlikely at least in the Americas. In Africa or Asia I think there is a higher possibility seeing as how there is a lot more undiscovered area. New species are still being found every day. There was even a large ape that was found recently in Africa. Check out the Bondo Ape it has similar characteristics. I wonder if maybe those giant ape stories crossed the Atlantic. Now that I think about it the Amazon is another place something like this or similar could exist.

I really like the aspect of aliens it is very intriguing and one thing I found was in Alaska a lot of stuff like alien things happen I like to talk about it if anybody ever wants to talk

I do not believe in big foot. However, my wife is a huge believer and every time a documentary or tv series come out we watch. I feel like more and more its make belief. 

haha i think all these are very interesting but i dont believe in any of them.  i do watch the documentaries and stuff or the "finding big foot" stuff on history channel.  im a bigger believer of the ancient aliens though and how they had help thousands of years ago to build these pyramids in Egypt at perfectly 0 degrees longitude and 0 degrees latitude 

I don't think there could be "a single thing", like a single yeti. To exist more likely it should be a species of something, and if so big and stuff they should also have preys and so (if carnivore), and nothing we know about those ecosystems would suggest that there are kinda animals.
There are still a lot of species to discover, but most of them are insects, plants, or other things that tend to be anyway quite similar to others we already know.

Well, that's hard to answer because there really aren't that many animals in North America that have such a distinctive, goofy shape, like the bigfoot. There may have been a species of Bigfoot that existed on the plains in North America, but I think it was wiped out by humans.
It's probably extinct as a species. 

I have actually done serious academic research on this topic, including interviewing the late Dr. Grover Krantz, the authority in the area of crytozoology.  I'm not going to go into too much detail, but there is actually proof that man and "sasquatch" lived side by side, at least at one point in history.  The "sasquatch" goes by the scientific name "gigantopithacus", and the recreated skeletons match the description of the legendary sasquatch.  Fossils as recent as 50,000 years old have been found, meaning that gigantopithacus and homo sapien existed simultaneously.
