"I didn't know-" "Obviously so kid; doesn't mean that I'm going to stand here and allow your brat of a kid to think he'll get away with that. You know that." Konnor calmly stated, his emotions were not all over the place, they were not a threat to him. His family would have been safe if he had taken some part in their life, up to this point, he had never felt the bond of being something of that calibre. A father, this life, it never exactly left him ready to be a Good Outlaw and a Good Father. It left him being one or another, no jumping or walking the line with it. So he made his choice, he believed his kids strong enough to survive without him. Yet he knew that wasn't the case, his two eldest children had all but left New York due to his issues here. Konnor knew his pining after something that had long since been dead, he was like a dog with a bone, he had yet to let go of that past and now here he was, suffering for it. His actions led him to this moment, now he was here to be an active part of their life. "Listen I'll-" Konnor raised a hand, making sure that his two children were in his eyesight, he knew that a few of the Rochester and Buffalo boys were meant to be guarding them, so where the fuck were they? He shook his head, that was for another meeting. Yet another part of him knew, he shouldn't have to rely on someone else to do his duty as a father. "Yes you will be listening, Sparks, right? Lawyers that worked with Carlio Alvarez, President of the Aztecas MC out here in New York. I know you now, you're on my watch, kid. Let's have a talk, your old man or someone that might know what I'm talking about?" In his time, kOnnor knew that some leaders came in all ages, sizes, and shapes, some were as young as sixteen, others were as old as ninety. This kid was in his teens, yet there was not a single faux innocence about him, he just had an indifference to him. "That would be my mother, she's inside." Raising a brow, Konnor pulled out a pack of smokes and bowed his head, waiting for the door to be knocked upon. The kid got that too, about a few minutes too late. The intimidating presence of Konnor was getting somewhere, the younger of the brothers looking anywhere but at the tall man. "Ma! We got a visitor!" Soon the door opened and Konnor met eyes with the elder woman, she was older than him if he guessed right, salt and pepper hair, yet it was jailed back. By the way, she held herself, there was more to the eye than simple lawyers. Glancing at the kid to his right, he motioned with his head for him to go inside, though he did give a glance to his kids, seemingly in apology, fearful as it was. Hm, that was something to note in his opinion. "Konnor Marx, to whom do I have the pleasure of speaking too?" The woman met his eyes, she knew his name by the way she simply quirked at eyebrow back at him, knowing that she wasn't going to be doing anything else for right now, he was a man that needed respect. Something had come up for her family to be called upon by The King. "Yelena Sparks. Nice to meet you, President." Konnor quirked a brow, standing there for a moment as he looked at the teen and then his kids, he knew that he would have to play this right. If anything, this woman could take anything the wrong way right now. "I wanted to have a little talk, some incidents have occurred. Seemingly neither of us has dealt with it correctly seems like we need to have an understanding between our two families." She nodded, at the very least, this wasn't anything that could have been taken as apart of the life, motioning for Joey and Ric to follow after them. It seemed like a meeting was set to take place and she didn't have a say in it either... |
