A Grand Day for a Grand Inquisitor Started by: Avocato on Feb 19, '21 02:27

Days after moving to Detroit, everyone within the Inquisition knew the day of reckoning was soon to come. The Inquisitors knew that they would soon aid their Grandmaster, Takkar, in a fight for complete control of Detroit.

Days went by and the Inquisitors had begun to take over rackets, loansharking and street corners owned by the former Godfather and local kingpins. Grandmaster Takkar had begun to quickly make a name for himself in the city.

Weeks went by and the entire city had been under the control of the three new heads of their respective parts of the city.

Gunther had successfully ‘Convinced’ the old man running 12th Street to retire peacefully and assumed the position of Godfather. Soon after, Gunther had put his men to the street to remove the old influence of the former Godfather and setup his own man in the streets, McAfee.

Smash had forcefully destroyed opposition through violence and smart legitimate deals. With Smash Industries buying up real estate, businesses and security, it looked like a strong enterprise helping the economy within Detroit, to which he had the support of the mayor in his endevours.

Now it was Takkar’s turn. It was nearly the day for the planned assault. Avocato and Karizma had been talking about it, going back and forth constantly, trying to make sure they didn’t miss anything in the planning. Avocato laid out another map of the mansion to where the Godfather lived. The two of them kept thinking of possible scenarios and quite frankly overthinking everything. As they bickered on what the right issue was, Grandmaster Takkar had entered the room. He quickly overlooked what they were doing and went on his way.

“He must be very confident in us, he’s very confident in himself, either way, that’s good! Right?” Avocato said to Karizma as she looked as confused as he did. He laughed and sighed a little. They would look over plans all night to see exactly how they would do it.

Avocato decided to bite the bullet, unluckily not literally. He picked up the phone with his paws and called a number. “Hello? Kaya, I have a favor to ask. Grandmaster Takkar is soon to challenge the godfather here in Detroit. I must ask, would you have any advice for him? He is strong and confident, but sometimes I feel as if he just forgets what he’s doing.. Sometimes when we turn on the microwave in the headquarters he just stares into space..” Avocato said as he began to ramble a little. “Oh, anyways.. So, yes! Would you be willing to help us” Avocato said very happily.

After weeks of planning, the day of reckoning had come. It was a Friday morning when the Inquisitors, backed by friends in Detroit and Philadelphia, had surrounded the mansion of the Godfather of Bricktown. Rifles were drawn, eyeing down anything moving inside of the mansion. The Godfather must have scarce security, as no one could see much movement, if anything, inside of the mansion. As they moved up, almost as if they were some kind of military squadron, they began to watch for anything. As they approached the final door, Takkar stopped them and let everyone know this was something he had to do alone.

Takkar had spent far too many sleepless nights staring at the ceiling, wondering how and when he would overthrow the reigning godfather of Motor City. The old man, living in Bricktown, had let Takkar run his rackets in the city but the price he had to pay was too much. Fifty percent of all his revenue went to that geezer and now he had the audacity to raise that rate to sixty nine percent. Fuck that. He wasn't giving him the sixty nine.

The date was fixed and plans were set in motion. He let his trusted don and consigliere come up with the attack plans, but whenever he walked into the kitchen warroom, Karizma and Avocato were too busy bickering like children. "Please turn off that damn microwave toaster, it's constant buzzing is giving me a headache. And Avocato, can you stop calling me grandmaster," he muttered and retreated to his den.

On the day before the attack, Takkar couldn't get a wink of sleep. He tossed and turned in bed and whenever he drifted off to sleep his dreams were always the same... His gun failing him and then dying to a 1%. Once morning rolled in, he took a hot shower before heading out the door. When he arrived at the godfather's mansion he was surprised to find Kaya and her coven as backup.

"You guys came" he exclaimed. "Thank uwu you," he almost slipped up.

"Alright, lets do this," he roared and rushed into the courtyard. The battle that ensued was long and bloody but with Karizma's expert gunmanship and Kaya's magical trinket's they had no trouble clearing the grounds of all guard. With just the godfather remaining Takkar held up his hand and spoke.

"This is something I have to take care of myself. Thank you all for the help in getting me here," he said in a heroic voice, at least it sounded heroic in his head, and turned in slow motion towards the door. Thud! His fat brainy head thudded against the door frame and he paused for a moment. "I'm alright. Everything is fine," with that he disappeared into the house only to come back a few minutes later having overthrown the old man to take control of Detroit.

The road ahead was tough. Now he had to work doubly hard to put Detroit on the map. But with Godfather Gunther and Don Smash as well as his friends by his side he knew he could achieve that goal.
