Maybe it wasn't her job to do, and surely noone asked her to, but Tammy had gone to the hardware store early this morning, where she had acquired a couple of nails and an oversized hammer. As she walked to the Central Park, she still had no clue why she had opted for the oversized one, it was rather heavy and handling it would be totally different from her usual agile wristed whisking custard.

But well, it was a choice she made. She'd had to live with the oversized hammer now.

Tammy arrived at the corner of the park, laid down the hammer and clapped her hands

She stretched and held up a paper for all to read

Now.. You may wonder why I am showing you this, she continued

..as noone asked me to and I asked noone for permission to either. Well, I will explain it after I spiked it onto this very tree

Tammy took her hammer and stepped towards the large, old oak, which had a central place in the park, very visible for everyone to approach and inspect. She pulled a nail from her apron pocket and held it on the top of the paper against the tree. Lifting the hammer, she noticed why she had made a poor choice this morning. Before she had lifted the hammer high enough, her other hand slipped and the paper dropped to the floor.

Hang on..

She made another attempt, holding the paper a bit lower onto the tree this time, pinning it with her elbow, so she could use two hands lifting the hammer. Once it had reached sufficient height, she lowered her arm to hold the nail in the right position. With her right arm she hit the nail right on it's head, before she dropped the hammer onto the ground, only just missing her toes.

There.

She turned around and faced the people again.

As you see, I just pinned this protection order onto the old oak here. The tree I will now call the Tree of Protection. I have done so for a couple of reasons.

Lifting her index finger, Tammy continued

One. Those that were so unfortunate that they lost their leader and are still wearing their tag should know they are not being hunted anymore. That in fact, they have the time and possibility to find a new home.

Two.

Tammy added her middle finger for all to see

Anyone that has lost their leader, or have not received the forwarded message from their crew leader or Godfather yet, will have information faster that they must not kill protected members. 

And three.

She added her thumb up in the air.

Never buy a hammer that's too heavy.

Dropping her hand she concluded by saying

This way, I hope to take away some insecurity of the homeless and to not bring anyone into any difficult situation through miscommunication.
