So, legends live and legends die. Although true legends NEVER die. One of these legends is DMX, Earl Simmons. I grew up listening to this artist. I never really knew what I was listening to, meaning his lyrics. Now that I am older, I understand his lyrics and can just appreciate them.

DMX was in my top 5 of all time, fav tracks are party up, X gonna give it to ya and where the hood at... they are just classics.

R.I.P to a true legend

I was gutted to hear this. I started listening to dmx way back in the day and consider him one of the greatest rappers of all time. Dark man x was a real grimy type of rapper, who just didnt give a damn. There are just too many great songs of his to list and his collaborationas with other artists were phenomenal. I love the stuff he did with the lox and his stuff of the belly soundtrack was straight fire.

Damn... Yeah RIP DMX. It was horrible to hear when he was in the hospital, then hearing he passed was even worse. I grew up listening to him as well and always hoped to hear some new music from him.

One of the best rappers i know. Also loved him in a few movies. I remember that one movie he was in with Steven Segal, Exit Wounds.. Damn how I loved him in it. And the two he was in with Jet Li. Also two very good movies.

Yes was somewhat surprised to hear that he was in a coma and then the next minute he passed.

Definitely had alot of good hits, and his own style.

Some people today just wanna mumble and think its rapping.

Yeah, very sad. Drugs are bad... It takes too many too soon. But he was one of the realest so that's something.

It's a great loss, but I will always remember your songs and lyrics, thank you for all your hits.

RIP DMX

Major loss. It would seem New York State decided to make his birthday a holiday. I guess that's important. 

Wow this was heartbreaking and seeing this made me think about it all over again. :(

The word legend gets thrown around a lot these days but with DMX I think anyone that is even remotely interested in hip-hop can agree that with DMX it is a deserving and earned title. Personal stuff like his addictions aside what he meant to the culture and his contributions to music will live forever.

RIP X 

Never been a rap or hip-hop fan. Not my style.  But for all that,  I recognize a talented artist when I see one,  and that goes double for an influential artist.  DMX was both.  Shame to see him go early like that.  

I am not familiar with DMX music. But he just died way too soon. For the ones that loved his music this is a shock.

RIP DMX

DMX was a true legend this is sad new for all.

His legacy will live on
