Curious what everyone who watches has thought about the choices for guest host for Jeopardy! so far, who they think has done a good job, and who else would make a good host.

I actually think jeopardy producer Mike Richards has done one of the best jobs so far. It took him a few shows to get into his groove, but once he did, I thought he was a bit of a natural at it. 

Everyone loves Ken Jennings, right? I do, but I’m not sure I would want him as the permanent host. He did a decent job, and like Richards, seemed to get better as he got more comfortable at it... but I can’t help but feel he falls a little flat on personality.

I didn’t like Katie Couric at all, she was almost robotic, and Dr Oz was terrible. He seemed like he was trying to make us believe that he knew all these answers all along and the contestants were nowhere near as intelligent as him. Here’s hoping he never comes back. 

I absolutely loved Aaron Rodgers as host. Not sure its his true calling, but I thought he came off as natural, smooth, candid and humble.

I’m not crazy about Anderson Cooper in general, but actually thought he did a decent job. Maybe becouse he’s more used to the question and answer format.

I’m looking forward to Lavar Burton. I’m old enough to have loved him both as the host of Reading Rainbow and as Jeordi LaForge. I think Mayim Bialik will do a good job. She’s brilliant and has a sarcastic wit that I think will make her a fun host. I hate Buzzy Cohen, but maybe that douchbaggery is what would actually make him a good host.I wouldn’t mind seeing someone give a contestant a hard time for giving a dumb answer, or for telling a boring story after the first break.

I don’t really know any of the other hosts currently on the roster, but they all seem a little... boring. Old newscasters and such.

I’d love to see former contestant Austin Rogers get a crack at it. I always found him oddly endearing and full of personality. 

What have you all thought so far? Anyone you’re looking forward to? Anyone ou think would be a great fit?

My favorite host was Ken Jennings, I thought he did a great job as host and because he has such a legacy with the show I would love to see him take a permanent spot doing it. 

Going to have to go catch some more of them, especially with Burton and Bialik still to come. But I've enjoyed what i saw of Rogers, and I give a ton of credit to both Richards and Jennings for the work they put in, and what they brought to the podium.

I haven’t heard anything about some of the other “big names” from the show coming for a go.

Where’s the rest of the GOATs? 

James Holzhaur could be good. Good sense of humor, but maybe a little away?

Brad Rutter? Can be a bit of a dickbag, but maybe that attitude could be amusing?

Ive been looking forward to her go. We have them PVRd at work so will watch on our lunch today :)
