There was once a snake that slithered within the animal kingdom. It knew how to charm others and get them to trust, manipulation and wiles were their way. Eventually, when the animal was completely under the snake's sway it would strike with its fangs deep and hard. Usually, the poor creature on the receiving end never saw it coming and once devoured the snake would move on to a new creature and the process would begin again. This would go on for years and soon all of the animal kingdom knew the snake's ways and he was shunned and maligned. Few let him charm them the way he used to, he was seen as an annoyance to be withstood rather than something dangerous. Never given the chance to feed he grew weak and feeble. One day the snake came across a goat, this goat had strong and powerful horns but even more had a strong and powerful heart. Most in the animal kingdom respected and feared the goat in equal measure and eventually, the goat became king within the animal kingdom. The goat called the snake to him and told him he knew all about his past but it didn't matter, stick with him and the snake will still eat and not be trodden on by the lesser beasts. And so over time the snake grew stronger, the goat was told again and again who the snake was. It took a great toll on the goat people telling him that the snake would betray him. The goat always replied that he did not care; he wanted to give a chance. The goat was worn down by protecting the snake whilst the rest of the animal kingdom kept their relentless warnings. Soon the goat grew old and tired. Weary of trying to keep the kingdom happy he spent his days sleeping and wishing he was elsewhere. The kingdom took notice of this and the strength that had left the goat. It was time for someone to remove the goat in a grand fight to the death that would result in a new king. Before any beast could act the snake slithered out of where the goat had lain sleeping and proclaimed victory. "I have slain the king! He was old and decrepit; we can now have a new order in the animal kingdom." As he awaited the praise and applause the silence grew louder. All thought the same thing, of course, the snake COULD kill the goat-like he had done so many others(The goat had never once worried about turning his back on the snake) and yes it's true that the animal kingdom needed a new king. But why, after all the goat had put himself through overtime protecting the snake, making sure no one could tread on it, did the snake feel it was its place to stab the goat in the back with its sharp fangs? Another animal would have lain across the sleeping goat ready to die for it as the other beasts closed in, but not the snake. So the snake thought it could claim victory for the animal kingdom but one thing is certain. The snake never changes even for an animal who gives its all to protect it, of which the snake seemed totally oblivious and not realised as it proclaimed its success. The moral is this: Never trust snakes. Shun them. |

With every sentence, her eyes grew even wider until she was leaning forward far enough that a slight breeze would blow her over out of her seat. Excitedly slapping the leg of Mr. Rodger "Look at the puppets!" she said as quietly as possible, but for a small child she had not mastered the art of an inside voice, plus they weren't inside so she carried on being engrossed in the story unfolding before her. When it was over, she stood on her chair and clapped as the loudest person in the crowd, this was the most fun she had ever had in her whole life aside from that time they had ice cream in Las Vegas with that pretty lady, but this was an engrossing story with imagination and puppets and pretty colors and she loved it. "I hope they do another storytime in the future!" she said to Mr. Rodger as they waited for the crowd to clear out enough for the little girl to not be lost in the crowd. |

There was once a scorpion trying to cross a river due to the scarcity of the food on his side. He faced the dilema of having no capability of swimming and even if he could swim the strong river current would wash him into the depts of the river bed. Biding his time he saw a crocodile swimming close to the rivers edge and the scorpion approached him. “Hey Mr. Crocodile would you be so kind as to carry me on your back to the other side of this river? I see the riches you guys enjoy on the other side and have no way of getting there as I was not blessed with your swimming abilities.” The crocodile looks at him warily. The stories he had heard of the scorpions always stinging creatures backs came to mind. “Let’s say I do carry you on my back, what keeps you from stinging me?” The crocodile replied. The scorpion laughs “Haha if I do that then I would surely meet my demise and that’s what I’m trying to avoid” The crocodile finding this to be a satisfying answer and being good willed in nature cautiously agrees to help the stuck scorpion get to the other side. The scorpion jumps on his back and off they go swimming. Not far into the journey the crocodile let’s out a big Yelp! Not long the crocodile starts losing his strength and both the crocodile and the scorpion start sinking. “But why scorpion?” The crocodile questions with his dying last breaths “I am a scorpion after all” the scorpion replies. The dilemma of our world no one ever talks about. People always cry that the scorpions are being treated unfairly. That the scorpion has changed his ways due to age or by the demeanor they currently express. Then the same people cry when the scorpion turns around and stings them. It’s never the scorpion fault. After all, he is a scorpion. I therefore call upon the leadership of the world to be harsher towards these scorpions. Needless blood will keep being spilled on your hands not the scorpions. |

Who is to call a snake a snake? And a scorpion a scorpion? Therein lies your problem. You assign labels to people not based on what they are, but their actions. A murderer is a murderer because they have murdered. A snake's only crime is to have lived. |

The scorpion and the snake give themselves up. We can leave them unlabeled and the result if the same due to them being what they are. Then can pretend to be like the goat, eat the same grass, live in the same fields but there is no betraying what they are. The snake will eventually bite and the scorpion sting. So “who can call a snake a snake and a scorpion a scorpion? “ No one because they announce it themselves. |

From your words, it seems you expect leaders to preempt the actions of snakes and scorpions. Yet, you also make the bites and stings appear as an inevitability. Moreover, if it's not the fault of the scorpions or snakes, nor the leaders, is this not like the rain that will fall? Perhaps it is the case instead that many who appear to you as leaders in these goats and crocodiles are scorpions and snakes in themselves. Thus, it is not the problem of scorpions and snakes biting crocodiles and goats but scorpions and snakes biting each other. A vicious cycle of action, response, action, and reaction. The only difference is some have assumed a role dignified by responsibility and others have not. |

This seems like a bunch of confused metaphor and an uninformed ripoff of an Aesop's Fable. Relatively uncreative. I'd give it a C-, try again. |

As fluffy_tummy is strolling around, waving his tail as the wind pushes the fluff left and right, he hears people talk about snakes and scorpions.
HMM, he purrs to himself, maybe they just don't know???
Well first I have to say, snakes and scorpions are reeeeally lowsy pets to have, i mean you cannot even pet them!!! They are never happy, not fluffy AT ALL!!! They do not even have hair!! I mean, my owner uses me as a pillow sometimes (i bite his face though), but at least i'm super soft and fluffy.
Second... they cannot PURR!! I'm sure if their owners had hugged them they felt sad too, my owner if i purr gets super relaxed, and when i'm anxious or hurt or even wounded. It helps me relax, stay calm and make me feel better instantly, maybe everyone should try it? |

Shoresy sat down in the middle of the streets crosslegged and put his hands on his chin for Aesop's fable time...
"Cool story bro. So does this mean the snake wins?" |

To me is more like no one wins, the snake dies, the goat dies. The only one who wins is those who generally wait in the shadows |
