Would quite like to see Kean go back to Utd in some sort of coaching role with a view to becoming manager. He's got managment experience, and he's United through and through.

Not too sure how he'd get on with some of the players and staff though after the way he left..

I like Roy Keane.  He was a brilliant footballer but I am not so sure about as a manager.  For sure, I dont think he would get on with the staff. 

Am not sure about Roy Keane, he did a great job getting Sunderland promoted, but his lack of management 'know how' was exposed in the Premiership and at Ipswich. I think he has too big an ego and cannot adapt to dealing with players that do not share his mindset and struggles to get all the players working hard for the team. 

Manchester United has never been about individuals, they come and go. Any manager that comes in has to realize this. No one is bigger than the club. 

That is exactly what I think or Roy Keane..

What is also really important is that the coaching structure and scouting system stays in place. 

The back room staff at Manchester United play a huge role in making the club so successful. From guys like Mike Phelan, to Brian McClair, to Rene Mulensteen. Even Jaap Stam is scouting for Manchester United these days. There is a certain mentality to work at Manchester United, you either have it or you don't. 

People also often underestimate the importance of David Gill and Sir Bobby Charlton. 

Respect the club and respect the history. I do not think Mourinho can do this. 

Fergie best stick around a couple of years then, because I can't really think of anyone who could fit the bill.

Considering the amount of money Manchester United are spending now and in recent seasons, we are definitely investing very much for the future whilst still buying players who already have the talent needed to play at the highest level. 

Sir Alex has always said that he will only step down once he is assured the club is in a healthy state and is in good hands. There is life after Sir Alex, the foundations are in place, the players will be there and the back room staff will be there. Only a fool would come in a try and change something that is clearly working. 

So they wont hire Rafa Benitez hahaha.

Martin O'niel - what do you think of him?

I think Martin O'Neil is a good manager, not good enough for Manchester United. His European record is appalling. 

As I said earlier, there is no shortage of good managers out there, but Sir Alex and his talent is so unique its going to be very tough to replace him. 

Whatever happens, there has to be continuity and consistency. Look how many managers Chelsea have gone through recently, we do not want that up at Old Trafford, and it will never happen. 

I'd love that at Manchester United! 

I want Mourinho in... he's the only one with the pedigree to take over Fergie..

JKL that is easy for me to condem.  Liverpool has won basically next to nothing compared to Manchester United since I have been alive.  Therefore, that is why I mentioned us 'younger generation' fans.  For a young Liverpool fan to support them these days is hardly glory hunting, as for a Manchester United young fan..  Glory hunter.

As a non-scouser, you should not be calling other club's fans glory hunters. 

Understand, that Manchester United is the largest club in England and the most successful team in the last 20 years. Who would you rather support if you were growing up in these times?  The mighty Manchester United, with their world class manager and players or the caught in the 1980s Liverpool with their Channel 5 football (I am suffering from a really short term memory today, did Liverpool even qualify for the Europa League?) 

i was born in manchester and i live 5 minutes away from Old Trafford, supported United all my life and I have a season ticket... not all Utd fans are glory hunters, that just comes from success ;)

JKL, your obviously a Manchester United fan lol.  Read what you just wrote and you will understand what I am saying.  Most Manchester United fans will know nothing about your history and stuff like that.  They dont pick a team because they like the way they play or even just because they like a player or two at the club..  They pick United simply because they win stuff, that makes them a glory hunter.

Oh JKL, we didn't qualify for the Europa League - But watch the damage we do in the league this year because of that ;)
