| 2011 Copa America-Who will Win?? | Started by: Manchester on Jun 28, '11 03:56 |

This forum is for all of you football (Americans say soccer) fans out there to chat about the 2011 Copa America in Argentina. So who do you think will win? I'd say Brazil and Argentina are surely the favorites, but between the two, my vote would go for Argentina. Brazil's squad is filled with players who had mediocre years for their club teams (Robinho for example), and Argentina just seem more talented. I mean, Messi is unquestionably the best player in the world. Also, captain Javier Mascherano is a very solid holding midfielder. Argentina needs some younger players to step up if they want to win.

Thats a good choice actually, Uruguay may shock everyone and win..Cavani, Suarez and Forlan are pretty good forwards. |

Messi and friends are so hungry for a trophy and this is a big opportunity for them to bring a cup down in home..So imo they will win so i say Argentina |

I would Love to see argentina win it, I am a big fan of a few of their players, namely Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Di Maria, unfortunately recently mascherano has been a bit of a underperformer but take nothing away from him he is an excellent midfielder, the problem is they dont really have outstanding fullbacks and that can hamper them sometimes.
I think Alexes Sanchez will be a huge performer at copa, not at messis quality but I would go so far to say hes not far from it. |
