Bonjour!

As you can tell by the topic name its about these 'loyal BGs' that we can suddenly give a name because they are loyal. Now.. we know that there's a chance that they can gain 130 health and a nice brand spanking new name when we press train. As far as I notice and am aware this can only occur once...

I ask you this..

WHY?

Just because he/she/it has been loyal once why can't they become loyal again? I mean we can't train them again until their health drops below 100 as it is so that's a nice 360k saved. However after that.. they suddenly can't become loyal again... Why is this?! Ok, we have already named them so.. no point in that, its very rare people change their names so.. thats fine. However why can't they become loyal and get another health boost?

I remember some time ago, the gods wanted to bring in a BG Effectiveness or something where the more you trained the better they were effective wise. I believe that it didn't turn out quite so well so I believe this is what was put in place to help. Thats fine but it doesn't solve it long term because as much as it is rare that you will get to name all of your.. 1 - 50,000,00 army of BG's I think it would be nice for them to have more chances of being 'loyal' and getting health boosts over and over.

So.. instead of making the boost to 130 again.. what about 115. The 130 is the one off and then the 115 can be what can happen to those lucky 'loyal' named ones that become loyal still. This could still work off a chance counter like the name/loyal BG is now but it just gives us more of a chance to have 'loyal' BG's and save a bit of $$$ in the process.

Pro's -

Save $$$
More Loyal BG's

Con's -

I can't really see none.

I mean overall it gives that 'BG Effectiveness' thing that was supposed to happen a while ago a little more life as it never really seemed to make it live.

So.. summarize..

Train BG's = Chance at getting to name and 130 health.
Those 'loyal' BGs have a chance once trained again to still be 'loyal' and get a boost to 115 health.

What do ya think?

Report Post Tip

As far as I knew the 'Loyal bodyguard' was put in to reward those who put the effort in to train their bodyguards regularly, and only a one time boost.

The issue I have with this idea is that people will be given constant extra bodyguards, which they haven't actually paid for. With the one time boost, admittedly they get the extra but they can never get that boost again with that bodyguard. Considering that there was too much money in the game already which lead to NPMs being tuned down on payouts, I don't think this would help or be a viable suggestion at this time in the game's current climate.

I like the thinking behind the idea, but I don't feel that this would necessarily improve anything.

Fair point my friend, however.. the Gods wanted to introduce something that improved the effectiveness of your BG's a while back. This never happened which I believe is what lead to this being put in its place.. it would further improve what the gods planned to do with this very idea.

As for the money subject.. that isn't going anywhere. Money is inflated greatly in our world but there's nothing we can do. However I don't really see much of a change in money increasing if you manage to get your BG's loyal again as its all down the chance when you press train.

Well you know the savings work out to 60k per 5 days per bodyguard. 15 above 100 means they will miss three trainings, so total savings per repeat loyal bodyguard of 180k. Let's say 1 in 25 bodyguards is around how many get the super boost that would mean of the 8400 or so bodyguards, 336 are re-supered every 5 days. This means site-wide extra money which would have been spent on bodyguard healing of $60,480,000 every 5 days. This soon adds up as I'm sure you can imagine :)

Report Post Tip

Yeah, I can imagine it. I am just going off the basis of the gods wanted to make our BG's more effective the more we trained them. This is a way of advancing that which we already have. No matter what its always going to save money.. in any aspect you try to change the effectiveness etc.

Really good point trying to revamp and give it another go. and i always looked at i as if you had the same bodyguard for a while youve even named him he is like your buddy =) and you want all the perks and benefits for your trusted loyal buddy =D
