The UFC owns Pride and Strikeforce now so they're essentially the same organization. And you shouldn't be surprised about Wanderlai Silva losing in the UFC. He started with the UFC in the late '90s and was good but lost to all the better fighters at the time. He then went to Pride and kicked everyone's ass because Pride's rules played better towards his style.

Wanderlai just doesn't have the chin any more. The way he fights makes for a short career.

Wanderlai never had the chin. The only reason he won all those fights in Pride is because Pride was a Japanese based MMA promotion and all those promotions from Japan are only one half step away from being the WWE. The refs cheat and the opponents take dives regularly.

You don't think Rampage had to take a dive or two to get his chance to get pushed? I've been watching MMA for over two decades now. I've watched so many Pride and K-1 matches in Japan end in blatant cheating by a referee. I remember watching Kimo fight Bob Sapp and when Kimo knocked Bob Sapp out the referee stopped the fight until Sapp recovered then restarted the fight. He had to stop it one more time to let Sapp recover until he finally landed a lucky punch and KOed Kimo. That's just one of many, many examples.

Wanderlai Silva has the worst record in UFC history. He was beaten out of the UFC in his first stint with them and only got to come back because of the name he was allowed to build in Japan. It doesn't surprise me to see him getting beat now that he's in a reputable fight organization again.

I'm pretty sure when Royce Gracie lost to Yoshida in Pride, his family forced Pride to change the decision to a draw because they said they would walk from the organization if they didn't. So I do agree that Pride was a little corrupt.
