Are you the baddest? Started by: Tyki_Mikk on May 29, '21 10:17

The orange glow lit from the tip of his cigarette, smoke plumes rising into the air as he took another drag, leaning back against the wall. Tipping up the front of his hat, he reached into his jacket and removed a diary, the only remaining thing he had from his fathers' possessions. Reading over it once again, his face wore a brief smile before he returned it to its home within his blazer.

Using his weight to press off the wall, he stepped forward and began to speak in front of the small gathering of folk he saw in front of him.

My fathers' diary tells tales of his time in jail. The years that he spent there due to a number of different mafia related war crimes. While there may be some ruthless, strong men locked away, we must have some clever strong men who have yet to be caught by the police, correct? So who on these streets would claim to hold that title coveted so dearly by the men imprisoned? Which one of you is the most ruthless, cunning, and the strongest?

He stepped forward once more, his intrigue having peaked.

This is a summons. A call to all the mafia world spanning across our six Cities. I wanna know, which of you have the guts to stake your claim at being the fucking baddest. Eight individuals, to compete in a tournament style event to detemine who can take the crown and title.

I would say that those who have the courage to step forward would do it simply based on pride, however, this is the mafia and money makes the world go round. So, to add a little incentive, lets up the ante and throw some weight behind our claims cause the funds also factor in. You may think you have the skills but if you aint got the cash then you aint got the cred.

He removed a knive from his pocket, along with a poster, stabbing the paper directly into one of the boards for all to see.

For all those who think they have what it takes, please contact me confirming your interest to be involved in the fights, along with a small note as to why you feel you should be selected as one of the combatants.

If you aint got the cash, don't bother. If you are afraid to come out onto the streets and talk, don't bother. If your Leader doesn't think you are worthy to part with anything from their stash, don't bother. You get the gist.

Only eight individuals will be selected but those who register their interest earliest are more likely to be involved.

He took another drag on his cigarette before continuing.

The total prize pool is $40million. However, I have secured the financial backing from an old friend who is quite the entrepreneur. His business has been booming as of late and he will act as the sponsor for this event, donating $15million to the final pot and providing us access to his private collection of planes from Phil Airlines. His generous contribution means the total prize pool for this tournament will stand at a whooping $55,000,000.

Once all eight participants have been determined, the event will be given a start date, the brackets drawn and the official tournament will begin shortly after.

Let's see who truly has what it takes to step up to the plate and stake their claim at being the baddest.

Tilting his hat down once more, he stepped away and headed back to the airport, ready to catch a Phil Airlines flight to Chicago for his scheduled meeting with Olivia and to discuss the plans for the renovation of her Boxing ring.

Thomas Crown was busy training in the early hours of the morning, when he received a pamphlet with some scribbles on it. He couldn't really read it, so he handed it over to his trainer.

Can you read that for me please? I have forgotten my glasses upstairs and its still a bit dark out here for me, to make out what it states.

The trainer grabbed the paper and started to read off what was stated on there.

Ah huh! So we got ourselves a competition in the cities. Is that so?!?!

Thomas tightened his fists and stretched out his arms. Feeling bigger and then throwing a few jabs at the punching bag.

So 5Mill you say? Alright!!! Mike where you at?

Thomas called for one of his BG's. As the man stepped forward.

There is a duffle bag upstairs in my closet. Should be a black bag. Grab that bag for me. And bring that to Tyki_Mikk

Thomas continued to throw some jabs and crosses at the punching bag.

I will be entering that competition. Fill out the paper work as you think necessary. If you need anything from me personally. Just call me, and ill give it to you. Either way, I am suppose to be having lunch with Tyki a little later any ways. So anything, you may not be able to provide. I will, when I see him. Just make sure, you get the entry fee in. I would hate to loose my chance at a spot in this competition, given the limited slots available.

Mike stepped back and ran upstairs to grab the black duffle bag, Thomas was speaking about. As Thomas continued his morning workout, the man had a competition to win.

I am pilot at Phil Airlines.. PilotPhil spoke

So I see no reason to fear any form of competition.

He swallowed, before making a bold statement

I'll tell you waht: If I am lucky enough to win both boxing rounds, I will gladly accept the duel in the final to claim overall victory.
Count me in, Tyki_Mikk!

Much of the ground work had been completed, preparations well under way. The refurbishments to the location for the event in Chicago had been going for a few days, a new canvas for the ring along with funding provided for lighting inside the venue and promotional posters. Checking his watch, he realised he was due to meet ThomasCrown soon and grabbing his blazer, he made his way out.

Afternoon Thomas, its been a while friend. Rumour has it that you were spotted in the gym recently hitting the bags. How is the form coming along? I had envisioned this competition to be swarmed by many of the young mafiosa, keen to make a name for themselves. It would appear though that you are always keen to impress and show the young lions just how it's done.

One of your guys came and found me, delivering your entry fee, so thats you all covered.

As they were speaking, Tyki noticed the notorious PilotPhil, CEO of Phil Airlines, standing in the street proclaiming to passers-by just who he was and ranting about even being willing to duel.

Phil, what a pleasure to see you again. Thank you for the sponsorship and funding, the money will be put to go use and is sure to make the Champion extremely happy when their account is suddenly increased by all those dollar bills. Have you managed to get any training time in? Considering how much your business appears to be booming as of late, I could imagine having free time to focus on getting the rounds in at the gym may prove difficult?

Along with you both, I can confirm that one other from Philly has begun communications with me to be involved. This leaves Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles as not having any entrants yet. Hopefully, someone from these locations will step up and represent their City, in due course.

Having just arrived at the wrong airport once more, PilotPhil noticed he was close to Tyki_Mikk and approached him about the contest

Ever since you started this well thought-out competition, it's been rather quiet.. Is it true that only three people so far actually believe they are the baddest..? I mean.. The price money is still there, is it not?

Re-reading the competition rules, PilotPhil shook his head

I am terribly sorry, but I can't find any reason why someone would not enter.. Have you had any feedback on that, sir Tyki_Mikk?
