City HQ forum just like the crew but for your entire city

We all have a familyHQ forum well i was thinking why not a city one. A place where the entire city can use. what do you think about it?

pros: Cl's and Godfathers/mothers could use it to post up things like a bulletin board better communicate between families and instead of a mass message it doesn't get lost in the heaps of other messages and it gives a place for the entire city to come to.

Sounds Excellent I think people are going to mention IRC as a form of communication inbetween City matters. But I like this... nice one Gallifrey. ;D 

No we wont mention IRC but I'll mention that it has been mentioned time and time before, look for old post and bump them.

Well I don't think it be a good idea after one CL killed the person who authed them. And, they were in the same city. I think it be better if crews can plan there own way.

Yes, but the City HQ could be used as a means of communication between cities such as bulletin information as Gallifrey said or inner-city competition notices. Instead of mass-mail's all the time. It shouldn't necessarily mean war tactics. Although it could be used like that. However, it'll mainly be used for things that Gallifrey and I have mentioned. 

You could even combine the inner city and outer city if the godfather could pick like a lock between the two say like only certain people can view this part and certain people that part. like the important city matters only viewable to the home city. BUT i think this along with the family hq should only be visible by made men up. except for what ever is designated i mean their not really part of the family and trusted unless mademen+

Then those that are made and above can actually feel that they have some sort of responsibility. And those that are under-made would then have something to strive for. 

exactly although thats a different topic. but the gap should be big between getting your button less accessibility if not made. 

but HQ thing i think is great idea its a central place for your entire home city to gather and discuss.

I can see the logic behind your suggestion, but believe that is an unnecessary feature. Godfathers can send messages to their city members, crew leaders can send messages to all their crew members. 

Also IRC is the preferred way to communicate and seems to be the most efficient, especially when it comes to discussing business. 

I for one love the idea, yes, there are mass mails, but that is only between the heads of the city and yourself. The idea of a city wide HQ would bring ALL of the city members together, and able to talk, introduce themselves, hold competetions, etc, remember, not everyone knows how to use IRC and not everyone gets on there even if the DO know how.

100% support for this suggestion and I'd love to see it added.

I also have to agree with Ares, it is a fantastic idea. It brings everyone together INCLUDING those who can't get on IRC. As long as you're in one of that cities families.. then you can see that forum. Makes sense.. also I think the Godfather (maybe the CL's but I dunno mostly the GF) should have the ability to wack threads and posts too. That way it keeps it clean.

Agree with MrsDoubtfire there. I feel its a worthy suggestion, though we must think about the logistics of the idea. Those saying maybe only a GF can wack threads, what happens if your city doesn't have a GF? There are many times where this is the case. I feel all CLs should be able to wack threads, and maybe only CL's/hands should be able to post threads, too.

The one question I always ask what if the city has a setup where all the CLs are separate families entirely would they all still have access?

I think this is an amazing Idea and should definitly be put into practice. HQ forums are begining to get a little boring, I'm sorry I have to say this but yeah. HQ forums are the past and CITYwide forums are the future. Even if we could have two seperate that would be amazing.

Have to agree here. I think a City Wide HQ would be good, but should only be available for cities that contain a Godfather and it should be the Godfather that maintains it, but anyone in a family for that city should be able to view it...

Or better yet.. Made Man+ Only? Maybe once again give some importance to the rank of Made?

Love the idea. I have to agree with Worley on the whole Godfather running it thing. If it was just CLs, the code doesn't tell the difference in an auth and a rogue. So if someone wanted to rogue, they could set up in your city and just delete everything in the entire forum. That was the first thing that came to my head when I saw that.

Sweeney we are not talking about removing the Crew HQ. Just adding a whole other Forum for the entire city.
